If they stick to the comic origins he is much, much more than a physical force.

He possesses a genius level intellect. He is highly adaptable to any situation he comes upon. He is a master tactician and manipulator. These are all aspects that he possessed before he was basically used as a lab rat for the venom drug from which he gained his strength.

Again if they stick to the comic origins they have a perfect Nolan-esque Batman villian here.

For those who want a good primer on Bane follow this link:

So he's been in prison all his life and studies a lot of books and crap.. sounds EXACTLY like Bronson as Tom Hardy was in prison in that movie too. Then he grows envious of Batman because Gotham fears him. I don't know what to feel.. can Hardy reach Ledger's Joker? I hope so.

And I hope Batman dies in this movie. This is the last Nolan Batman movie.

Tom Hardy's performance in this movie already rivals Heath's Joker. I just hope he doesn't replicate the character TOO much.

You're complaining about action sequences in a superhero movie??

I think you're watching the wrong genre of films if this is the case.

I like Anne Hathaway because she doesn't mind showing her boobs even though there's nothing to show. In the movies I've seen of her anyways.

The last movei ended with Btman running for the police. If I hear this I think Bane will not be a supervillan, but more an advesary fighting Batman (with Gotham on his side).

Are people really discussing if Michael Bay could make a better movie than Nolan.

Action scenes are sort of important but the overal story is what makes a movie great. And with transformers Michael Bay couldn't get neither right.

I'm arguing that Bay, as sorry as he is, directs action sequences better than Nolan. His shoot outs and kabooms in The Rock, Bad Boys, Armageddon and that shi-t Pearl Harbor are technically (editing, sound etc..) better than anything Nolan's made to date.

And Michael Bolton is a "better" singer than Bob Dylan. What's your point?

Who gives a ****ing **** about an action shot.

I'd rather be marinated on a Foreman Grill than watch a hack named Michael Bay portray reality as a 7th grade 4th of July picnic.

Eh, All the scenes mentioned above in Dark Knight, the ending of Insomnia, the 'kick' series in the final sequence of Inception; I dont' have a problem with Nolan's action pieces. He's not a full blown 'action' director anyway - stuff like Memento, Insomnia, The Prestige, is more than that.

I think some of the hand to hand combat - particularly in the first Batman - needs work, but that's hardly enough to offset everything he generally does right.

Critiquing action scenes in a Nolan film is like watching a porno and b****ing about the color of the wallpaper.

    Batman: ...**** just got real.
    Gordon: I hear that.

Both pause and stare intently off into the distance. Camera spins around them in a slow motion full circle.
