I'm also curious about what they're going to do regarding advertising. The I Believe in Harvey Dent website and creepy joker posters were all so well done and created so much buzz. I'm sure it was a big contributor to the movie's box office figures.

The fan created Riddler posters looked awesome, and I think the public wouldve eaten it up, like Lost and all it's dharma stuff last year. What can they do with Bane and Catwoman? Gotham branded flu shots and Catwoman brand Hathaway lube?

I was going to post the same thing. I always thought highly of Ledger, I just couldn't see him in the role. And then he completely knocked it out of the park.

    In Nolan I trust.

Anne Hathaway was my first and only choice for this role. Couldn't be happier.

    p.s. I'm Batman.

She's pretty sleek and lithe in Brokeback (check out the rodeo scene) and even in Rachel Getting Married. Where is she "voluptuous?"

Anyway, I'll back off from defending the casting, but I'm very happy about it. When good actors agree to do otherwise doomed-to-stupid action movies, I like!

Anne Hathaway? Really? She has never been able to act "sexy" and to play Catwoman you need to have that sex kitten vibe.

I read that story back in the day, Bane wasn't cool in that, and neither were all the side-characters like Azrael.

Anne Hathaway is a pretty awesome choice for this role, those questioning it are insane

Its just that its catwoman. The character will have to go through the super spin cycle of Nolan reimagining. Nobody's questioning Hathaway (except for that voluptuous comment  ) or her acting chops. It's certainly a better casting than the superbad chick as gwen stacy and not maryjane.

This isn't fracking Princess Diaries 3. If you want an actress with the range of a high-class p*rn star, more power to ya. But Frank Miller's Catwoman didn't wear Prada.

I don't mind Anne Hathaway as Catwoman but Bane as a villain? I hope this time Nolan will finally have an action director because he can't direct action worth crap.

I get the reference, but they should have kept Megan Fox and booted Michael Bay. Get the dude who directed District-9 to take over.

Don't get me wrong, irregardless of casting, Christopher Nolan has been batting 1.000 in my book (yeah, I even enjoyed Following), and will be in line to watch B3: TDKR.

If you guys have seen BRONSON, you know Hardy as Bane is badass.

Not sure about Hathaway, but I have no reason to doubt it will work out.

Finally!!!! Someone agrees with what I've been saying all this time. As much as I hate f-cking Michaels Bay, at least he knows how to direct action sequences. There is no visceral or kinetic in Nolan's action sequences.

And he's horrible at writing for/and directing women
