No need to see the movie now.

What was cool about the movie is that not only there was one asian person, but TWO!

Maybe when it comes on TV.

I just went back to listen to my old ska days. We evolved into anything but a typical ska band, but the early stuff was pretty poppy. This was a crowd favorite even after we got sick of playing it. It's such a simple stupid song but it's fun.

Not trying to derail Kam's thread. Just reliving some glory days.

ohhh, you had a different username if i recall..

Basically, the starring dude in the film moves to jersey and things are akward. some chick befriends him for her own personal gain. from there, the movie proceeds, and they recruit other musicians. they get a brass section from the band, a pianist who played classical, and some string playing lady.

relationships build up. blah blah blah, they figure it out. they come back to almost win it.

did your band have some hot looking chick?

oh, and Lisa Kudrow looks really really old in the movie.

i guess your using an analogy between stallone and vanessa. but that had nothing to do with what i was saying. the trailer just looks like something a 13 year old girl would go see. not hating just my opinion. that chick is hot to by the way...just sayin :)

    saw the movie again...

I took this chick. Someone who normally would not want to see this type of movie. She likes the urban music type, and stuff like that, so I'm sure this isn't the demographic. (like it matters)

But she enjoyed it. She said it was pretty damn good. I'm telling you, this movie is the real deal. She thought it would be cheesey Mickey Mouse ****, and she came away impressed.

Its not a bad movie, I enjoyed it

If you liked The Rocker and/or School of Rock then you'd enjoy this

I enjoyed both versions of Bread's "Everything I Own", but enjoyed Vanessa Hudgens' slow version better than the ska version

And no, I wasn't the chick Kam brought........

What's the verdict on age appropriateness for this, Mr. Kam, sir? I am asking just in case my daughters would want to see it. I know it's been rated PG, but... are there any inappropriate innuendos?
At first I was like :D and then I was like ... then WHAT... watch dances with wolves? Why?

You're poetic as of late, sir. :D
Why so vulgar and obscene? Who has upset you so much?

How old r your kids? Its appropiate to the high school crowd, middle school crowd at youngest. Id say if u thought School of Rock was appropiate for them, this should be fine. The only thing I remember that would questions is the scene above where he mentions "The Sex Pistols" that's about it.
