Just watched it, I enjoyed it the same way I enjoyed the first avengers. No spiderman after credit scene if anybody was curious.

Good to hear! Whedon also confirmed that the Spiderman thing is fake.... "We wanted to be clear that there was no tag scene at the very, very end of the film. Because after sitting through 40 minutes of credits and not seeing anything, we thought people would become irate. [Laughs] So no, I don't know where that started." http://www.darkhorizons.com/news/36661/whedon-on-ant-man-script-fake-spidey-clip
Well, I don't necessarily agree. I don't really think people, casual fans or otherwise, go into superhero movies without at least skimming through some of the origin story before the movie and/or come out of superhero movies and not read further into the superhero. Like, I went into Daredevil not really knowing all that much about any of the characters, but right after I finished the series, I tried to read about DD, Kingpin, and how true the tv series stayed to the source material. Granted, I'm not saying people are gonna be immersing themselves in _____'s lore / origin story, but I highly doubt people are gonna say "Oh hey, the next title for the CA movie is Civil War! Cool" and not google "Marvel civil war" or the like. Does that make sense? Like, I don't think people are just gonna go into the movie uninformed (to a degree) and after weeks of walking out of the movie, stay uninformed. I dunno. That's just my thinking. Of course, I'm not that casual a fan, but a hardcore fan I am not, either.
Yeah, Avengers set the bar pretty high in 2012 for any of Marvel's properties, including its sequels. Which is sad, because I think Winter Soldier and GotG are both better than the first one. The bad reviews, from what I've read, haven't exactly been bad bad, however. Lots of "too many people" or "too many explosions." Both of which I'm okay with, unless it's Michael Bay level lol
Claudia Kim. 30 looking like 25 http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2263791/?ref_=ttfc_fc_cl_t18 Some doctor in the movie.
Saw it yesterday. It was very entertaining, though not nearly as good/epic as the first Avengers. The dialogue was made for middle schoolers. I guess not many CFers have seen it or not interested since this thread is pretty dead. Spoiler Didn't really like the way Hawkeye randomly gets a family side story. I found it random since they never really put any effort on his character and suddenly they chose the Avengers movie to have a side story? Could have used more background or character development on the twins instead. Should have put his side story in the Capt movie. Also sucks they killed the flash dude. Should have deleted Hawkeye instead. And what exactly are the chick's powers? She has dream control that can predict the future sort of... and can shoot red kamehameha... and force field to shield herself? They also made Ultron seem very stupid. I dunno, I guess he just sounds stupid to me. Also the "I'll do it myself" end credit scene... was that the only one? Because I didn't wait for the credits to end.
That's about the feel I get for the marvel movie universe as a whole, while I see the DC movie universe a little more mature. It's not a shot at either brand of movies as I enjoy them both immensely.
Just saw it, thought it was Spoiler pretty damn good. It was never going to top the first one, because the first one had set the tone of the rest of the Marvel universe. The first one could get away with throwing humour here and there and the audience would be caught off guard, here it was all there but sometimes a bit too much. LOVED the scene when the Vision hands the hammer to Thor, the audience gasped at that. The Black Widow/Hulk thing just seemed....forced? There was no build up, nothing from the first film. I did like the Hawkeye family scene, it brought the entire fantastical film with gods and monsters down to earth, reminded us the normal people still existed and weren't just running around screaming all the time. I'd rank this alongside Iron Man III. The surprise and whimsical enjoyment of the first movie (Iron Man and Avengers 1) is gone, but what's left is still plenty enough to enjoy. Just wished they could have woven in the TV series with this too...
What he said. I still don't understand why it's coming out in damn near every country a week before the US, but whatever.
Duh? I didn't say it was uncommon. I said I don't understand why THIS particular movie is being released elsewhere first.
I mean I don't see why this movie is any different than other blockbuster movies. I don't really see why it matters either.
