That was.....impressive.

 

Watched the movie last night it was pretty decent even though the storyline wasn't exactly the strongest.

 

This movie is full of cliches. Seriously I'm pretty sure that I've seen all the story lines of this movie in some other movies before.

 

What did you expect from Roland Emmerich?

 

Ever since Independence Day came out it seems like every year they come out with a movie about the end of the world, either about Aliens or the weather and I'm just sick and tired of it.

 

Agreed.

 

Funny part is there is nothing you can do if something like this would happen in 2012.

If the world ends, there is nothing to fight for. Nothing will survive. Its really kinda pointless.

 

lol. just read that scenes showing mosques (and particuarly the kaaba) being destroyed (since the movie aparently gets a real kick out of CGI demolition of religious structures) were deleted out of fear of a fatwa.

Those cute little muslims and there fatwas.

 

eh..just look at it like, "at least they cut 5 more seconds off this turd burger."

It's a very long movie too.

 

Well, yeah. That is good. But the principle is just plain aggravating.

 

It is absolutely absurd and preposterous. It used pretty much every film convention and disaster movie cliche in existence....

...but God help me I loved it. It is pure popcorn, and sometimes that is exactly what you need.

 

It sounds a watchable movie. I probably will watch it tomorrw.

 

Saw it last night, typical end of the world movie we've all seen before. god why do I keep wasting my money on crap like this

 

To each his own.

For me, I just love post apocalyptical movies (ie. Bladerunner), disastrous (Poseidon), end of the world (Deep Impact), aliens (Independence Day) type of movies. Just absolutely love them.

 

Voting with my wallet on this one.
