I would consider if Brantley gone...

Like the idea of Yuli on bench and in lineup against lefties while Brantley out in LF for righties... shift Yordan/Abreu at DH depending... provides rest for everyone.

First thing you shouldn't do don't fire your GM a week after you win the championship.

Brantley at 12.5 million per for 2 years guaranteed, yikes. No thanks, and I love me some Michael Brantley.

2 years, 15 million with 2nd year club option. That's the ceiling.

I like your JV projection and it's been what I've been calling for as soon as he opted out. I think he'll surprise everyone coming back to Houston on a lower than expected deal.

Yuli is done as a viable baseball player.

I based on some outside publications estimating Brantley would be looking at 25 over 2.

If Dubon is a viable player then Yuli is. As a backup 1B, 3B, and 2B he has value. He doesn't strike out a ton and puts the ball in play which is an ideal pinch hitter. We will use pinch hitters a lot when Maldonado comes up with runners on.
