    Dear Uncle Bob

Do whatever the #### it takes to sign this man, and then trade for a veteran corner, immediately.

    Thanks

I'm hearing from more and more sources to keep an eye on Schobel getting in shape to come back and play. Nothing confirmed but look out

Needs to happen immediately. Barwin's gone, and it's looking like Ogunleye and Denney aren't showing they can help. We're really depleted at this point with Cushing also missing.

Why I'd be fine with bringing over a jerk like Haynesworth. Okoye just flat out sucks, and we can't afford to continue playing a D-line with only two guys worth a damn. Not when we have only two secondary guys that can cover (Quin, McCain).

GREAT to hear, Lance has been a pretty big advocate that Schobel wouldn't be back due to the money being thrown around and his desire but if he is getting the itch to come back, Texans need to be all over this and make it happen.

One thing that will make the secondary look decent is a pass rush and he would provide it. Now if Ogunleye has something left in the tank as well...we should have something good coming.

Man, I hope the rumors are true. If he can get back into game shape, and we sign him. That'll be a BIG relief for our D.

    Man I miss Cushing....

It would make sense if he came back after the bye. Will Ogunleye play next week?

Tommie Harris was inactive today for the Bears. He isn't injured so it was a coaching decision. The last two years he hasn't play at the same level he did when he first came in the league but he could be one of those guys who needs a change of scenery. He is only 27 years old and probably could be had for a late round draft pick. He couldn’t be any worse than Amobi Okoye or Shaun Cody.

Is there any way we can get a veteran corner? Should Brice McCain be on the other side of Glover Quinn? I think the secondary is a much more pressing concern than the defensive line (although I agree Schobel would improve our defense as a whole).

I'm NOT panicking about our draft pick. I just don't think Kareem is ready yet. I think he'll be a fine corner down the line, and I love our defensive coaching staff. He just got turned around too many times last weekend.

By the way, it's very good to be back. I haven't watched ESPN or been to this part of the forum since Sunday. Just couldn't bear it. I really wanted us to win that game. I think my sea legs are back under me. We need to put it to the Raiders.

I was the same way after the UH loss to UCLA. Then UT got stomped by them in Austin and I felt a little better. The Texans - I just expect bad things to happen since I have watched almost all the games. They could have owned the city if they beat Dallas so even though I was confident I knew there will always be a trump card for a Texans debacle they can use at any moment - start of the game, ahead by 17, 2 steroid suspensions to starters, on and on and on.

My mothers side of the family are life long Saints fans so I hope all this pain eventually pays off in the long run

Kareem is definitely getting welcomed into the NFL. But I'm not sure I like how we're throwing him straight into the fire with a ton of press coverage, he just doesn't have the size and ability to effectively press NFL WRs yet.

That was the main problem I had with the game. Every Cowboy WR had at least 3 inches on our DBs yet we were pressing all game long, it was way too easy for their WRs to disengage our smaller backs. Give them 3-4 yards and let our CB's athleticism help them make a play.

At a time when the NFL is moving to taller, bigger, faster WRs, we draft a small-ish CB with no wheels.

Hoping he can play through this early adversary and come out of it without being too shell-shocked.

The Oakland WRs will enjoy their match-ups this week. I think DHB might be a good fantasy pick-up if we can't generate any pass rush to stop Gradkowski from getting rid of the ball and attacking downfield.

5'10" and 4.4 speed isn't small ish and no wheels, for cb's it's quite average. Coverage is as much technique as it is measurables. And Heyward-Bey smoking our team? Are you related to Al Davis?

Football speed, I think he's lacking. I'm glad he can run a 4.48 at the combine or on campus. What's he do in the game?

And yes, DHB has been a disappointment, but he was targeted a lot last week, and as Joey Galloway has shown, guys with speed can get behind our secondary. Catching the ball, that may be a different argument, but he should be able to get open deep.
