everyone who does movember and a) starts with hair on november 1st (i.e. not clean-shaven) or b) grows more than a mustache (goatee, beard, shadow, whatever) is cheating and doing it wrong. Must be mustache (usually embarassing/creepy) to count!
Semantically, I understand your point, but I disagree. According to Movember.com the whole point is "...effectively become walking, talking billboards for the 30 days of November. Through their actions and words they raise awareness by prompting private and public conversation around the often ignored issue of men’s health." As someone who never has facial hair, at least 25 people have asked me what's up with the goatee, I then tell them the reason and have them check out the website. With or without a mustache, I'm still getting the message across.
I participate in this every year. My grandfather survived prostate cancer. In honor of him I will post my beard on clutchfans. Yes, I am white. Spoiler Btw, my wife loves my facial hair.
Sorry to hear about your loss. No one I know has passed away from this, but I still take part every year - because **** Cancer. Good job man. Keep it up. Remember to engage in conversation and get people to go to websites such as movember.com. Repped.
My apologies, I must of misread, just saw you said your grandfather survived. Congratulations to him, hope he's doing well!
I know, I made a terrible mistake. I've been at a hospice all day for my great uncle, not really in the most stable of mind frames.
Mine is growing in quite nicely.... Spoiler <a target='_blank' title='ImageShack - Image And Video Hosting' href='http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/42/moustacheeditedpreview.jpg/'><img src='http://img42.imageshack.us/img42/586/moustacheeditedpreview.jpg' border='0'/></a>
