Depends on your job. You don't want to be all sweaty before going into an office, right?

I have written over a hundred pages of a book entitled "You're Fat. It's Your Fault" that I would be happy to send you an advanced, incomplete version of. It's funny and works.

I am similar to this. My story......

My clothes started feeling tight on me and I didnt like that feeling. Additionally some things at my work place really started to piss me off so I channelled those irritations to my workouts.

I got a treadmill handed down to me from my parents and started using that a couple of times week after work. Plus I cut out sugar sodas and drank mostly water every day and cut down on portion size during meals. That worked pretty good. I found just doing a good 'power walk' on the treadmill for 40mins or so while I watched SportsCenter or whatever really seemed to work. I did this 3 times a week.

But what REALLY and I mean REALLY did the trick was when I switched my workout routine from after work to BEFORE work in the morning. I did the treadmill 5 days a week before work and then got some free weights and did that a few times a week for upperbody workout after work. Plus I started havivng breakfast, something I didnt used to do. I usually had one of those Yogurt drinks. High protien, low fat and only around 290 calories. It filled me up.

What I found was doing the treadmill + having breakfast REALLY started up my metabolism each day. I started my 'internal fat burning' engine at 7am instead of around lunch or after work.

Let me tell you, that makes a BIG difference! The morning workouts were MUCH more productive than the after work workouts.

I am about 6'2' and initially weighed about 230. I am now down to 195 and am MUCH more fit! The afternoon workouts got me from 230 to about 220 to 215 and then I plataued. Doing the morning workouts broke me through and got me down to 195.

I dont actually do as much treadmill now as during that time (couple times a week) but my weight has stayed off because I CHANGED my body's metabolism which allows me to burn off more calories even when I am not working all because of my initial morning routine.

I still pretty much eat what I want, I just watch it. I watch my portion size at meals and drink water during the day. But I never deprive myself.
