That's bull. Lin put up better number than Linsanity and guess where he get developed? The bench.

Does every thread have to be about Lin?

I like D Mo. But its kind of like the Bev vs Lin situation. DMo might have more offensive skill than Jones, but Jones has a higher motor than DMo. On nites where Jones isn't hitting his shot he finds other ways to contribute. DMo doesn't have this skill. He's one dimensional

If O'Asik can ask to be traded, so can others. Asik just set a bad example for other players.

another offseason and me might add 20 lbs
if he could just hang down low, he could be prolific scorer

The Lin/Bev discussion is a completely different animal. Jones is on his way up, but like DMo, both still have questionable starting potential.

I would think it is a matter of time DMo got traded. He could be a rotational player somewhere and the Rockets have other needs. It doesn't look like he's going to play other than garbage time this season.

DMo would get more PT if he was willing to play like a bench player: high motor and play smart. That's how Jones and Parsons established themselves.

When you're unproven, you have to show you can do what everyone else wants you to do before you can do things your way. That was the same problem Spanoulis had.

Jones is proving himself as a starter, thats the difference. Thats why I mentioned the Lin vs Bev situation. Bev does the little things in the same way Jones does. Both have higher motors than Lin & DMo. Maybe its cultural thing. Bev & Jones play hungrier like their in survival mode. That type of attitude earns you PT in this league

Next, Lin will want to get traded; or, maybe Brooks (who, as the ESPN commentators noted, is better than any of the point guards that Chicago has)

Jones is coming back down to earth. He's reverting back to that three point shot which 4 out of 5 times doesn't even hit the rim.

This isn't about having "higher motors", as you call it. I think Lin knows a little something about what it takes to be a starter. In fact, he became a phenom when he did.

I was on the D. Mo bandwagon, but he hasn't shown much of anything lately when given limited minutes. That is when you have to show you belong and he hasn't done that. Wouldn't be sad to see him go at this point as long as something valuable/useful comes back in return. I doubt you could even get a 1st for him right now though so you have to package him with something else of value.

I'm one who has really lobbied for him to get more PT... for awhile, I even wondered if he had done something to piss off the coaching staff because it seemed like they'd rather sever a limb than put him in the game, even during garbage time. But the last few times he's gotten minutes, he's sucked it up. He looked excellent in the Nuggets game, but pretty disappointing since then. I can understand his frustration though, and wish him well.

He can't beat out Greg Smith for minutes, so I'm not sure we can get much of anything for him. Sure he has more 'potential' but he should be far enough long by his second-year to beat out the equally-inexperienced journeyman, right?
