Relax. Remember this thread is being followed by all the Lithuanian fans who love the NBA. This thread is about Motiejunas. Let's not make this about the Rockets. GO LITHUANIA My favorite basketball country because their history reminds me of Illinois...only one of two states in the union that cares more about basketball than football.
http://live.basket.iskiereczka.pl/mecz.html?game_id=8374 The announcers were talking about Motiejunas, Houston and the NBA. Not sure what they said.. I just heard these 3 words among a bunch of Polish words.
Yes. He (and his team) looked a bit out of sorts early on. The execution was terrible. D-Mo had a couple of nice moments in fast-break/early offense situations in the late/early 2nd. Otherwise certainly not his best game. His defensive deficiencies are still very apparent. Also, the other team is being physical with him, which is exactly what you have to do. He got bailed out by some calls (thanks to his constant arm-flailing), but strength is still a bit of an issue.
Yes, he is palying and quite a lot. Having a decent game so far. He started with exelent energy and made some good plays, though he slowed down a bit in 2nd quater. Here's live stats (in polish): http://live.basket.iskiereczka.pl/mecz.html?game_id=8374 7pts (3/5 2pt 0/1 3pt 1/2 ft) 6 reb in 14 mins after 1st half.
Ok, It seems I was a bit too fast His actual stats are: 16pts (7/12 2pt | 0/4 3pt | 2/6 ft) 13 rebs | 3 as | 2 t/o | 2 st | 3 fouls | 1 bl in 29 mins Cheers!
The 3's are a function of the European game. When he plays with NBA spacing that number will drop. The number I watch is his rebounds. Says a lot about his development.
Well... he was alright. Unimpressive early, better late. Some good, some not so good. You're probably asking the wrong person though. I've watched him play so many times by now that I most likely won't be as impressed by some of the stuff he does as someone who watches him play for the first time. Anyway, Game 2 on Wednesday, 12:30PM ET.
