They still need to draft a big man to go next to him. He should still play most of his minutes at thte 5.
Interestingly, though, if both Leonard and Parsons are on the Rockets this year, one of them is going to be absolutely buried on the bench, just the same as Morris and Parsons. Can you remember the last time a coach has ever started a rookie, and then had the primary backup be another rookie, much less on a playoff contending team? Kawhi and Chandler, at this early stage of their careers, play similar roles for their respective teams; I just don't think in the long run that's good for either of their development. At least with Morris, who has a vastly different skill set, there will be matchups and game situations where the coaching staff can justify giving him heavy run next year.
Other than the #1 pick Anthony Davis, there aren't very many options in any draft that are either- -similar to Donatas- (skilled offensively, but not physical big men) Zeller, Jones III -or similar to Greg Smith- (Big & raw, little offensive skills, & poor execution) Drummond, Leonard, Melo If your drafting the big & raw guys you aren't going to expect them to be able to get minutes over Dalember, Camby (if resigned), or even Greg Smith at first. Could be well into their second contract until you even know whether a true center like these guys are going to stick in the NBA. So whats really the point of drafting a ton of Greg Smiths? You can only develop so many guys at once at the end of your bench. IMO, you take the best player available. If you can get a big man to groom then great, but undeveloped big men are the biggest challenge in the NBA. Most of them will never see minutes on any NBA team.
Just put together a few clips of D-Mo from this last month or so. Again, nothing special from a video creation standpoint, as the tools I work with are rather limited. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/VA8ArpXgSSk" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Should be available in 'HD' (720p) later.
He looks like he has a great touch inside and has a great feel for the backboard angles. I'm more curious about his defense though. He looks quick enough to cover 5's and 4's and even some 3's.

he plays like a 7 foot scola and has the same exact shooting form as Dragic, should have played the entire season, along with Morris....sigh.....
Maybe. Al Jefferson has a very similar "push" hook shot with a low release point and it seems to work for him. I know they're at different levels of strength, but still. Motiejunas is a seven footer, so a non-fundamental hook shot could still work for him.
