Nice rant, except Donuts was misquoted and none of this is true LOL. And anyway do you even need clarification from Donuts? DH has been in the league long enough for everyone to know his personality, he is a joker, a prankster, the class clown that loves an audience. Why the **** would he distance himself from the team when he is clearly a sociable person? Why the F would a guy who participated in that goofy Avenger spoof suddenly want to eat alone when he could be joking with the rest of the team. In Harden's case, he is always hanging out with CP3 and he was part of the kung fu ritual with Lin, does that seem like the sort of guy who would put a barrier with himself and teammates?

It's like people here don't even follow their own team.

Agreed- but I was talking about the poster's comments and the sheep's tendency to jump on the bandwagon. It's downright silly how the media like to try to shape things into what they want it to be rather than what is- and the unfortunate fact is that people in general buy it.

I can't tell you how many times over the past 20 years I've had to correct people about 1995.

"Jordan wasn't in the league then."
    "Yes, he was."
"Oh. But only for the last 27 games. He wasn't playing anywhere near his level."
"Scored 55 points against the Knicks."
    "Oh. But....but....but....but...but..."

It's like people in general these days are so self-absorbed and have such low self-esteem that they can't even admit to being wrong, as if that very fact would just crush their soul. Amazing to watch, actually.

"Dwight Howard led a team to the Finals as the only superstar on his team."
    "No, he didn't."
"Yes, he did. Look it up."
"Oh. But he didn't win it"
    "True. Lost in 5 games."
    "Ah ha!"
"What's your opinion of Steve Nash?"
    "Great leader!"
"Do you know he's never led a team to even make it in the Finals?"
    "Oh, yes he did!"
"No, he didn't. Look it up."
    "Oh."
"So, by the rationale that your leadership is measured by how far you lead a team, Dwight Howard is a better leader than Steve Nash."
    "Oh, no, he's not!"
    "Why?"
    "Because...because...because....because...

    Hypocrisy

Let's face it- this is what we're up against. Our starting 5 consists of a guy who many call a dirty player (Beverley), a homeless man stomper (Jones), a no-defense, flopping guard (Harden), a goofball diva (Howard), and a only-plays-during-a-contract-year player (Ariza). Face it- we have the most unlikeable starting 5 by far in the entire NBA.

    And to that, I say:

I know they couldn't do this, but here's what Howard and Harden should put on their Twitter:

What's with Rockets fans turning on a player without actually finding out what was actually said? Real fans, huh?

I've said this before and I'll say it again

dandorotik is one of my cfnet fav/heroes

Hey, I'm thinking we should start a new thread correcting this thread. I normally wouldn't advise that, except we have to believe Clutch attracts media readers here and this thread title makes it appear we agree as rockets fans with the media

This thread title and first 7 pages is probably a lazy media journalist's confirmation that Houston agrees.

Does anyone object is I start a sister thread that is a poll of whether we agree with this thread? The point would be to show a poll to media who lazily read cfnet that we disagree

Dmo STFU unless you can come in and get 15 and 8 consistently.

Stirring the pot without reason does not help your team!
