    oomp, I'd go ahead and get your wife something. She'll love it! It's pretty much a win/win situation if you get her something - if she's expecting something, then you met expectations; if she's not expecting anything, you've exceeded expectations.

    And for all you guys who need ideas, look around the house - see if there's anything that needs replacing/fixing/improving (like an old toaster, or maybe give her some gardening stuff).

    Starting today, get her little things frequently, all throughout the year, so when she asks you why you're giving her all these gifts, you can say "Baby, everyday is Mother's day, you're the greatest and most beautiful mother in the world."
