Same here. Ugh... However, my sophomore year in high school when we were studying the depression, my history teacher went out into the desert and shot a couple of jackrabbits to make some rabbit stew with so that we could see how people had to survive back then. I must tell you, that was same damn fine eating...
First time I even heard of bunnies being eaten daily/naturally was in Vietnam. I pretty much thought that everything that was cute and furry was off limits here in America. (E.G Dogs).
YEAH. she was a pro pretty inhumane in a way but hey my family is from mississippi and you wouldnt believe half of the stuff that they eat. oh yeah Bear Grylls(man Vs. Wild) killed some rabbits <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UxKENjeIPuA&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UxKENjeIPuA&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8iYYfFBk5J4&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8iYYfFBk5J4&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
My wife works at the TWRC and is a wildlife rehabilitator. She says just leave'em alone. Nature will take it's course (they will probably be cat or dog food) We have a couple that live in the back yard wild. They are just around, you see them in the morning and evening. They've been here for a year or more.
I wonder if the democrats on this board all said that someone needs to do something with them, and the republicans all say to leave them alone? I vote, leave them alone.
That is what we have been doing. Just leaving them alone. However, as they grow older, I hope they leave the nest through the backyard because our front yard is fully gated. There is a hole under the fence in our backyard. Here are the pics.
