MUSKEGON, Mich. —
A Muskegon Heights woman was sentenced Monday to 12 to 22 1/2 years in prison after authorities said she used a written contract to arrange for her 15-year-old daughter to have sex with the woman's boyfriend for two months while she recuperated from abdominal surgery.

The 41-year-old woman, whom The Associated Press is not identifying to protect her daughter's identity, in April pleaded no contest in Muskegon County Circuit Court to three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct.

A no-contest plea is not an admission of guilt but judges treat it as a guilty plea at sentencing.

"What you've done to your daughter is one of the worst things I can think of," Judge Timothy G. Hicks said at the sentencing hearing.

Authorities said the woman agreed to the arrangement because she feared losing her boyfriend, Michael Fitzgibbon, while recuperating from the operation.

Fitzgibbon, 37, was sentenced in March to up to 15 years on each of four counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct after prosecutors said he, the woman and her daughter signed the contract.

Fitzgibbon was also sentenced to 12 to 25 years for each of two other cases involving first-degree criminal sexual conduct charges involving a 12-year-old girl. He is serving the sentences at the same time after pleading no contest to the charges in February.

A female substitute teacher who taught in a Wisconsin school district has been fired and is under investigation for an alleged sexual relationship with her daughter's 13-year-old boyfriend, FOXNews.com has learned.

The Pierce County Sheriff’s Department is investigating allegations that the 38-year-old Prescott School District substitute teacher had sex with the seventh grader, Lt. Dennis Sorenson said.

The investigation began after the student’s father filed a civil restraining order on behalf of his son against the woman following an incident that allegedly took place on May 17, said Sorenson, who is in charge of the investigation for Pierce County.

That evening, the father said he found the two having a “middle of the night rendezvous” together at the teacher’s home after the boy stole his mother’s car, WCCO-TV reported. The woman’s husband and 13-year-old daughter were home at the time, the station said.

The name of the teacher cannot be released because the investigation is still in its initial stages and no charges have been filed, Sorenson said.

 

to think about it, I wouldn't doubt stuff like this was happening when I was in middle/high school some 8+ years ago. The reason why its reported as "news" today is because well... we can take it. We're in a time that the word "sex" would get our attention while back in the days, news reporters/stations/publications would fear that they would criticize for what they report.

40-Year-Old Former Teacher Marries 16-Year-Old Student

WILMINGTON, N.C. -- A 40-year-old high school science teacher and cross country coach has resigned his position and married a 16-year-old student.

Brenton Wuchae coached Windy Hager at South Brunswick High School, where she recently completed her sophomore year as one of the school's top runners. He also lives less than two miles away from the Hagers' home on Oak Island.

Wuchae married Hager in Brunswick County on Monday, according to a marriage license.

Hager's parents, Dennis and Betty Hager, said they did all they could to keep the couple apart after noticing a deeper-than-usual friendship forming between them. The parents said they tried to intervene by talking to the coach, going to school officials, pleading with police and sheriff's office detectives, even other teachers and students at South Brunswick.

But the Hagers say they reluctantly signed a consent form allowing their daughter to marry her coach.

Brunswick County Schools Superintendent Katie McGee said both the school system and the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office investigated Wuchae's case but did not come up with enough evidence that would merit charging or even firing the coach.

"As a lifelong educator, I am truly shocked and disheartened by what has transpired," McGee said.

The Brunswick County Board of Education approved Wuchae's resignation Tuesday -- one week after Wuchae had filed it.

The school system hired Wuchae as a teacher and coach in August 2004 from Guilford County.

Wuchae and his new bride were at home Tuesday, resting on his living room floor watching TV. He declined to comment.

S.C. Cops: Naked Couple Falls 50 Feet From Rooftop to Their Deaths

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Police on Wednesday were investigating how a naked couple fell 50 feet from the roof of a downtown office building to their deaths.

The bodies were found on the road by a passing cabdriver around 5 a.m. Wednesday.

Clothing was discovered on the roof, leading authorities to suspect the man and woman, in their early 20s, may have been having sex. Their identities were not released.

"It's too early to rule out anything," Columbia police Sgt. Florence McCants said, but McCants said a preliminary investigation didn't show any sign of foul play.
