$1600 Was one DIGIT away from winning a $24 million dollar pot in California. Odd thing was that I knew I was going to win something as I stood in line to buy a ticket.
My friend won 30,000 on break the bank and after taxes he got about 24,000 Sadly after he bought his car he blew the rest on lottery tickets and now is addicted to gambling....he goes to treatment now
This is the most degenerate thread I've ever read. By the way, if any of you guys want to give me a dollar, I'll be more than happy to return you 70 cents.
My girlfriend threw away $20 of mine because she didn't read the "no change" notice on the scratch off vending machine. Our winnings totalled $6.
We need another thread asking "How much have you spent to win what you won in lotteries?" I've never spent a dollar on the lottery, but I got a free ticket sometime back in the early-to-mid 90's. I didn't win.
Someone should invent a Girlfriend vending machine where you put in 20 bucks and it yells at you for 15 minutes.
A trip to Tenerife, Canary Islands, with a scratch off ticket (worth about $ 1,500). Unfortunately, I was only 12 years old, so I let my dad go there instead...
i forgot to mention, my dad's uncle's brother won the real lottery. i don't remember how much it was for (i wanna say $4 million) and i don't know if anyone else split it with him, but still it was pretty amazing to hear. i've never met the guy before so he's not exactly close to our side of the family and it's not like i'm gonna get anything out of it, but still pretty amazing. maybe some chunk of the money can make it's way through my great uncle to my dad to me.
