I said Kaman, because I think he's the most realistically attainable piece & he fills a big need in the middle.

LOL I can't believe how many people actually drink the Monta Ellis Kool-Aid

    Adjusted Plus Minus

Monta Ellis (team consistently plays worse with him on the floor)
    11-12 -6.03
    10-11 -6.81
    09-10 -6.53

And he never comes off the floor, which is the reason a great player like Curry has been able to turn the squad around

Stephen Curry (just to show an actual good player)
    11-12 +14.24
    10-11 +6.84
    09-10 +4.33

Dudes a chucker who doesn't even attempt to play decent defense, I'm the head of the Kevin Martin hater club, but even i don't think he's as bad as Ellis.

We can try to reduce Monta's minutes... I don't think he will fade in fourth quarters.
He is not an allstar because of his shortcomings but he is a borderline one among a lot of analysts. For me it is just surreal when a 6'7 guy like Martin weighs the same as this 6'3 combo guard.

Because most analysts are just former players who watch the games like us.

He isn't good, the consistently overwhelmingly bad plus minus numbers make that undeniable IMO.

He plays worse d than Martin, and thats hard to do.

He is a shooter... and I can understand if his role is not that of Curry to make his teammates better but to score...
Like Martin and even more than Martin he suffered from being on an overall bad team.
He is a better option offensively than Martin as of now, more consistent.... He is not a player I would covet either, but I thing in the right setting with Dwight Howard, probably that is another story therefore the Magic have a better outlook with him.... they still won't be able to contend though

The OP should be banned simply because of his asinine sig. Everytime he posts in a thread, there is always at least ONE poster who asks "When has Les not been willing to spend?" The answer to that question is NEVER. Les has ALWAYS been willing to spend.....what Les has been unwilling to do is have a period of subpar teams for the good of the future. Money has never been an issue with Les Alexander at the helms though, and to claim otherwise is just flat-out dumb. And the fact that he's made his sig in size 60 font makes it ever dumber.

    1. Pau, would be a great piece if could be had without Lowery.
    2. Bogut, would be a great center of the future.
    3. Al Jefferson, he is young; scores, grabs rebounds, and plays defense well though Utah won't give him up.

The guy is a 6'10" freak of nature that has really developed a nice offensive game. He's learned to shoot from the outside but still has trouble with his 3 point shot and has tempered his 3 point shooting as a result.

Guy is as studily as this team will get and a deal of:

    Houston receives:

    Josh Smith
    Kirk Hinrich
    Jeff Teague

    Atlanta receives:

    Kyle Lowry
    Luis Scola
    Hasheem Thabeet

    works

YES. This is what I have been thinking. If he stays, great. If he leaves, okay we suck now we can hope to draft someone to build around. It's a longshot, but obviously what we're doing now isn't working. We're a .500 team and for the last 3 years we all get excited around the trade deadline and come up short, then convince ourselves that free agency will be better.. When in the longrun all the trades we've been hoping for or FAs would just make us another Atlanta Hawks team.. A lock for the playoffs every year but never going to actually win anything, just maybe upset a team in the 2nd round
