Hmm, my reading comprehension. . . please read this: My reading comprehension tells me that hikanoo49 claims that Marion is better than Amare who gets all the press. My comprehension also tells me that you jumped in and call someone YOFs. I said you were the first one mentioned about Yao. Please point out what part have I read wrong. Which part of hikanoo49's statement do you disagree? Marion is underrated, or Marion is better than Amare, or Amare gets all the press? What does any of these parts have to do with YOFs? Why didn't you just say you disagree and put up your supportive argument?
Yao only fans are about Yao. Is that simple enough for you? If not, let me rephrase to make it simpler for you: What part of the original post has anything to do with Yao only fans?
I believe hikanoo49 to be a Yao-Only fan, I doubt he would disagree that he started rooting for the Rockets because Yao. That's fine, I have no problem with people who do so. I have also seen countless Yao-Only fans write posts about how Amare is nothing but a dunker, has no skills, and is overrated. I believe this has more to do with jealousy more than anything else. Hikanoo49 starts a thread about underrated players, yet in his first post, he couldn't help but mention a player he feels is overrated, which I thought was uncalled for, specifically because I believe Yao-Only fans take shots at the guy for the reasons stated above. It bothers me, I wrote something about it.

Marion stats: 79 GP, 19.0 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 2.7 APG, 2.11 SPG, 1.32 BPG, 1.97 TOPG, 2.6 PFPG FG% .440, 3FG% .340, FT% .851 Stoudemire stats: 55 GP, 20.6 PPG, 9.0 RPG, 1.4 APG, 1.16 SPG, 1.62 BPG, 3.22 TOPG, 3.4 PFPG FG% .475, 3FG% .200, FT% .713 When it comes down to it though, it's all a matter of opinion.
When you reason it out, your posts are a lot better. I just felt that you unnecessarily incited worthless shouting matches just because you believed a poster belonged to a group you dislike. This kind of behavior is what make this board unreadable at times.
Whether if I am a YOF or NOT an YOF has no bearing on this debate. The fact is, I stated that I felt Marion was underrated being that the media portrays Amare as the premier player on that team and fail to mention Marion. Marion is one of the most complete players (offense/defense) in the league/one of the best SFs and several posters already pointed out their stats. Thus, my thread had NOTHING to do with Yao and I think that you are just so paranoid with your anti yao feelings that EVERYTHING is misconstrued as a YOF statement. I bet you can find some YOF sentiments if I say something like I hate Burger King (since Yao endorses Mcdonalds). So take it easy and dont read so much into things. Marion is a stud and should not be playing second fiddle to anyone (including Amare). For those that play fantasy basketball, Marion has been a top 5 player in each of the last 2 years. In real basketball, its nice to see a well rounded player like him get rewarded today with a spot on the Olympic team. But unfortunatley if you read magazines or watch Sportscenter, it is still "Amares Team"...
Not really, Amare is a decent player, he has been all over espn with his highlight reel dunks. But people saying he is better than Yao just ridiculous, athletic abilities wear out over times, but fineness doesn't. That's why I believe Amare is over-hyped, and overrated.
