What West didn't mention is that Wilt smashed 10 broads after the meal before he grabbed 25 rebounds the next night.
Ok, thank you for giving me something tangible to go off of. I'm not going to read the book but I've read some reviews, I'll accept that it was as scientific as possible for the time. The basic steps of the scientific method are: 1) make an observation that describes a problem, 2) create a hypothesis, 3) test the hypothesis, and 4) draw conclusions and refine the hypothesis. ... Critical thinking is a key component of the scientific method. I still say that he or any other great old-school athlete would have vastly benefitted from real sports science of today. Especially Williams, since he seemed willing to try new things.
Not exactly GOAT, so maybe I'm doing this wrong. In case it's not clear, he looks unathletic because he is wearing glasses.
You need to see how he looked at the combine. Not much different, and how do you have a dad bod after 20 years in the NFL?
Kind of looks like your neighbor's pimple-faced, beanpole daughter made the high school freshman basketball team. But in reality she's the first freshman to every win women's NCAA National Player of the Year. May literally be the GOAT as far as women's basketball goes before it's all said and done. Spoiler
You're way underestimating the level professional athletes are at. A D3 bench player is lighting up every Y on Earth.
Chuck Liddell I hear he was quite the bad ass but man did he look unathletic. In fact he walked and movements looked downright awkward Rocket River
Yeah. Back in the day, I started playing hoops at lunch with a group of folks from work. My first time out they asked me who I wanted to guard. Being a post guy, I chose the tallest guy who was only a couple inches taller and a bit pudgy and awkward looking. They asked me if I was sure. I felt good so I said "Yeah, bring it." I didn't know the guy had gone to Wake Forest on a BBall scholarship as a guard. He did not stay in the post, but was just hitting from everywhere this side of half court. Lit me up and made me look foolish. [/csb]
