Bassey teammates didn't make shots.....takes two to tango when it
comes to assists. If Bassey had Isaiah Mobley, Isaiah White and Eaddy he
    would have had more assists.

    Porter/Wall/EGo/ Wood/ Tate/ KM Jr/ Jalen Green would up his assist%.

Bassey wished he had this guy at W Kentucky:

Crazy thing about this draft is you can identify several players right now with the POTENTIAL to possibly be better than Cunningham, Green, and Mobley when we look back because these guys are so young and raw. For example, what is Scottie Barnes with a consistent 3 pointer? This isn’t all that uncommon historically in regards to lower picks outperforming guys drafted above them, but damn we really need to get this right.

I’m not going to lie, I’d at least consider trading 2 to Orlando for 5 and 8 if that was on the table. Unless you feel extremely confident that Mobley or Green are can’t miss franchise players. I’d take Barnes with 5 and there are a ton of other guys in this draft with huge upside that will still be there at 8.

Gotta be Barnes. I think Barnes has somewhat of a low ceiling but a really high floor. Kuminga is the complete opposite.

Sure fire means can miss. The guys most likely to not flame out of the NBA are pure shooters that can defend.

The best prospect to fill that bill is Chris Duarte. 6'6" 190lbs can create his own shot and is great at catch and shoot. Decent defender. He probably never makes all-star but he'll most likely be in the league in 6 years still getting 25 plus minutes a night. Not the highest floor but the most solid floor in the draft. Most likely 20 to 30th pick. That is my response to your title.

Your post talks about #5 pick. Orlando most likely takes JK. They are rumored to like him plus they have #8 to take a solid upside guy like Moody at 8 to balance the time it takes for JK to develop.

Scottie Barnes has the highest ceiling in this draft.

Kai Jones and Jalen Johnson have the tools to be special too.

    Such a deep draft.

I really like Barnes. I feel like trading 2 and walking away with some combination of Barnes and Jones, Johnson, Bouknight, Mitchell, etc. is something that you strongly have to consider if you’re the Rockets brass.

Too big of a risk after a 17 win season and lucky lottery... As of now, you go Mobley or Cade if any way possible... This is the way..

For facial expressionlessness, it would probably be Jericho Sims.

I guess it depends on where you see his development going in comparison to Mobley or Green. If you see either of those guys as true franchise cornerstones you obviously don’t trade 2 for 5 and 8 hypothetically. If Barnes develops a shot, he’s going to be amazing. He will not only be able to play 1-5 offensively, but he’ll also be able to defend 1-5. Then you add another high lotto pick of your choosing to that.
