Yeah. Especially recently. We have no rivarly whatsoever with the Spurs because the Rockets have not been relevant since the Spurs dynasty was formed.
sorry guys, i glossed over the "respected" aspect In that case, wouldn't the Supersonics be more appropriate?
I sort of do. I would be mad if they just disappeared. Hell, I even hate to see them suck this much. Rivalries are fun and the fact that these two teams seemingly always meet up in the playoffs like it's fated or something is kinda cool.
There's a ton of us who respect the hell out of the spurs. Cards are a little bit harder to admit to but you can't deny there legacy and success. Still hate dafuq out of them though. Any dallas team on the other hand.... or should I say Arlington teams..? they can all go swallow knives.
AGREE WITH THE LIST 100% I would add 90s Sonics and 90s jazz. Also the 1999/00 rams  My least respected list would be....... Early 90s bills 2005 white Sox 2000s Mavs jazz 1980s Lakers 1994 Knicks 1986 Mets
Those Cardinals used to scare the crap out of me every time we played them, it didn't matter if we were up by 5 in the bottom of the 9th... I was always sure we were going to blow it. That Brad Lidge game was when I had my first heart attack and I was like 10! Spoiler because it is brutal... Spoiler
Early '90s Cowboys. Not really rivals outside of the Governor's Cup, but our second peaks aligned closely enough to compare performance and marvel at how much more they did with an egotistical, free-spending oilman, hall-of-fame QB, pro-Bowlers in every unit and a hot college coach who was an SWC alum.
I respect the Spurs a hell of a lot more than I respect the Mavs, Blazers, Lakers, or the Jazz of all teams.
