Nicholas Cage - the only movie i've enjoyed him in is Raising Arizona Jullianne Moore - cries in every scene of every movie she's ever been in. Literally. (not literally)
Agreed on Born on the Fourth of July. He was great in that movie. As for Walken, lately he has been doing paycheck roles and phoning it in(with the exception of Catch Me If You Can). But go back to his work in the late 70's through early 90's and the dude was badass. The Deer Hunter, The Dead Zone, At Close Range, and especially his 10-minute cameo in True Romance.
Tom and Keanu to me seems to have great tastes in the movies they pick esp Keanu most of those movies would have been great without him H*ll Ashton Krutcher did Bill and Ted Part two . . DUDE WHERE'S MY CAR Rocket River
Keanu Reeves Jack Nicholson--everything since, and including, Cookoo's Nest Tom Hanks--with the possible exceptions of Bachelor Party & Dragnet Brad Pitt George Clooney Woody Allen Tom Cruise Nicholas Cage The common theme seems to be that regardless of the movie, they seem to always play the same role, the only difference being a change of costume and character's name
Jack Nicholson ....and I used to think Pitt was overrated too until I saw Troy. That's one of my favorite movies and Pitt was incredible.
I'd put Forest Gump and to a minor degree, Philadelphia in there too. He plays the same roles a lot, but he does have range.
meh.. I don't think anyone thinks he's all that. I mean hes a funny guy, but I wouldn't consider him an "actor" if that makes sense.
ya think? Anyone who thinks Tom Hanks lacks range is either a moron, deaf, or blind......or some combination of the three.
Yeah, Clooney played the exact same "role" in O' Brother Where Art Thou, Good Night, and Good Luck and Syriana. Same with Nicholson in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, As Good as It Gets, and About Schmidt.
