Jalen Green standing around a corner in his rookie year and finding a way to score 50% of his fgs unassisted as a 19 year old rookie indicates first how bad our pg play is that a 19 year old has to self create so many of their shots but also shows the talent of Green to get himself opportunities to create off the dribble. He forced himself into that position through talent. For example Jabari didn't have that ability. If you leave him in a corner that's pretty much what hes going to do because he can't put the ball on the floor.
Just stating what the poll ranks currently. I'm not negative on Green per se, his expectations are higher, hence the draft position, the larger salary, and greater usage. It's more or less meeting expectations. There were 'grade' video/threads when season ended, think the fans/analyst hover around a solid B.
I think of it more like who I could see finding the most minutes with a team in the playoffs during a championship run. Green and Sengun both had good rookie seasons given their age. But they were teenagers and the kind of lapses they made as a result of being so young and inexperienced, plus the level defensive play they were capable of, would not cut it in the NBA playoffs when the coaching gets serious and rotations shrink. Doesn't mean Tari will have the best career of this bunch--I think that's unlikely. He was just more prepared for the NBA being older and more experienced at the time he was drafted.
The problem with that method to evaluate is some roles are easier to fit into for rookies. The role of "3&D" is simply an easier role than being the primary self creator.
Well, yes, but that was the question posed. I don't disagree that Green was ready to get started learning his role and play in the NBA (on a non-contending team), but I do think he was less ready to be a positive contributor in the NBA in the sense that most teams care about.
Sengun is nowhere ready to be a serious starter in the New Rockets team!. In fact he might be traded for a much better ready player! Y
Sengun was the most pro ready, he's had the poise on offense and the heart on defense (if not the skill) to play against men from day 1. Tari was the most NBA ready though to my eyes, it may be blind luck or natural timing but he disrupts so naturally on both ends that you can tell he can instinctually play NBA ball. The difference is that Tari can naturally play NBA ball but has shaky fundamentals, especially in basic stuff like layups, whereas Sengun has pro-level fundamentals and elite level post play but had to learn how to play the NBA version of basketball.
Why is Nix should not an option? Considering what he has done on the court, I think he could have done it from day 1. He wasn't drafted, so it is even more impressive.
dd is this one of your many fake account ? cause nobody other than your fakes sign by their initials. Anyways i really want sengun gone from this toxic enviroment. man your only prospect that crack top 100 is sengun and you are living in your delusions of ball hogging guards would be luka or harden. none of this young core could crack rotation let alone starter on a contender other than tari and garuba.
I honestly thought aside from conditioning sengun was the most nba ready. He played with grown men in his league and was the mvp of it. Man was just poorly utilized and wasn't given a chance due to silas playing favorites with kpj
That was the interview, had the same sweater. Add to the hobo hair, add more beard, darken the neck, erase neck.
