You're retro prole. You can't be talking about prole after all of your posts in the metal thread. SCORE ONE FOR THE WEEZY WEEZY
If it makes you feel any better, I thought the other varieties were good, and better than hot pockets. too much trans fat for my taste though. I believe only prole food has trans fat these days.
speaking of, I didn't want to start an entirely new thread on this but i just heard saturday about some contreversy about ric ross denying he was a prison guard, but the pictures and verifiable info are on smoking gun LOL
Rick Ross is actually my cousin's cousin. He came here (Jonesboro, AR) about 10 years ago and hung out with all of us at my sister's house for a weekend, of course this was before he was as famous as he is now. I have no comment on his employment history though.
Yeah, its him. They did some kind of scan on the pic to make sure it wasn't photoshopped too. I wasn't really a fan of his music to begin with though. Its okay to talk about crack if you've sold it in the past but you don't have to bring it into every single song.
I agree that most beef in enterainment is irrelevant. That said the rap beef between Ice T and Soulja Boy tops everything as far as I'm concerned.
These "beefs" are so transparently manufactured that they're impossible to care about. I think it's ridiculous that rappers have to maintain some sort of "cred." Look where that got Tupac. I don't care if Rick Ross was a prison guard, and certainly I don't care if Trae synthesizes his voice. If he does, that's an artistic choice and I think it sounds fantastic. There's only one Z-Ro, so complaining that Trae isn't Z-Ro is sort of pointless. These r****ded beefs just bring out the hate in everyone and should be ignored entirely. Houston had a good thing going with the scene united for a minute under UGK and there's no reason to wreck that. For the record, I thought "Who is Mike Jones?" was a fun album with an entertaining gimmick. I didn't find it to be an insult to "credible" rappers any more than I find the Offspring to be an insult to punks. There's room for all of it.
man i feel out of touch with today's youth or whatever you want to call it. i have no idea who either of these two people are, mike jones and trae. heck the only person i did recognize was donatello from that pic.
2 pretty recent songs have this quote in their songs. It's a sample off an old school Houston classic "25 Lighters" with Fat Pat on the track. Many, many Houston rap songs have samples of older Houston classics. One is from Wine-O called "Pop My Trunk" which is annoying as hell. But yes, the other one is Trae - "Swang" which is IMO, one of the best songs out of H-town in the past few years. I am a big fan of Trae... but listening to his music has gotten kind of repetitive. I love his voice and his style of rap.. but I'm beginning to grow tired of it. Many people in this thread have talked good stuff about ABN's latest album, but I thought it was mediocre. I only really liked "Umm Hmm" and "Turning Heads". I don't think much of Mike Jones and while I don't hate him, he must be crazy if he thinks he's the president or king of Houston rap.
