Any list without Scottie Quitten being every single choice is not valid whatsoever.

    For some older posters:
How would you compare the hype/talent/expectations at the time of the Pippen signing to create a big 3 (Olajuwon, Barkley, Pippen) to the hype/talent/expectations from Miami's big three being formed last summer?

Our big 3 were not in their prime. And they were Olajuwon, Drexler, and Barkley. The only thing big about Pippen is his nose.

Dream and Chuck were not in their prime, however Pippen was suppose to prove with the Rockets that he can come out of the shadow of Jordan and be the #1 option on the team.

there was tons of hype though

A lot of questionable picks (and non-picks), but WTF at Scola??? Why would any Rocket fan hate him???

    another misconception.

Barkley has been very complimentary of the Rockets and Kevin McHale this year.

He has mentioned that Les owned him money before. But as far as teams, he's been spot on the predictions of the Rockets, except for Yao of course.

So what did happen in that "big three" Houston season, did they just not fit, or just too out of their prime

the one with Pippen? Kobe destroyed him and he blamed Cuttino for it.

the one with Barkley and Clyde? dude. come on that's Rockets history 101, why we hate the Utah Jazz.

No I meant the one with Pippen. It's too bad though, I wished I watched the Rockets in those days. Now I can only look at some youtube clips and boxscores.

don't forget you can read Clutch's articles too:p

It was a devastating disappointment on the same scale of the Rockets losing at home to Utah with Tmac/Yao.

But the big difference was this was Scottie Pippen, a hall of famer, 6 time champion, defensive expert, most versatile player of all time. Not a "what if" or "potential" , we know what he did.

This was suppose to be Barkley getting a ring, sacrificing his salary to get paid the MINIMUM (capitalization working there) so that we can get the top free agent, which was Pippen.

You know where the term "Scottie Quitten" came from?

CLUTCH came up with that term. That pretty much sums up how pissed up everyone was feeling about Pippen.

    wrong.

not by the real Rocket fans who actually watched him play as a Rocket. Maybe for the people who live and die on his every word on TNT.
That actually shows how much he owns people .

    here's the real Rockets fans
