That and they won the coin toss in overtime. Nothing will EVER compare to that level of fail. Anyway I thought last season with the Kris Brown/Chris Brown circus was just beyond rediculous. Silly me thinking "freak plays the Texans will do better" Enter 2010. I just cannot recall this many freaking last minute collapses and gut wrenching freak play screwups. The pick sixes, the rediculous Jets drive, the Q-tip, this whole season has been one big punch in the junk. And worst of all it's not over, now that the playoffs are out of the question the Texans will dominate the meaningless games and screw up draft positions so that instead of an Earl Thomas we end up with another Kareem.
1-A) Jags Hail Mary - its a HAIL MARY. Even if its customary to attempt them, even its just a tied game on the pass, its one of the worst defensed Hail Mary's ever and has poetic analogy. Instead of catching the football, grabbing control of the season, they STRIKE AT the football, literally like a needle in hand bursting a balloon making the season go POP. 1-B) Rosencopter: 'nuff said. The reason I'd don't have it #1 by itself is you can kinda at least say "No WONDER he's backup". 3) Ravens Pick-6: We almost got fooled there. Absolutely INCREDIBLE efforts by many against the very STACKED odds of long drives and great defense. Salvaging a WINNING season? naah.... 4) '10 Jets comeback: Absolute insult on top of Hail Mary injury. This one was the season ender, but it confirmed why Hail Mary happened - cuz we REALLY cannot make stops. Plus my uncle's a Jets fans so it made it worse. 5) Jags halfback pass: A straight shout at the screen "WTF WAS THAT?!" moment ending in head shaking and ultimate facepalm ... Texans went on to win their next 4 playing great defense including a win over the Patriots, to retain coaching staff and personnel and set up false hopes for next year ... though the Texans had their first winning season in franchise history, in hindsight that should have been the jobs ender.
What the hell, I totally forgot about that one. Hopefully you'll understand, since there are just so many to choose from...... Yeah, that was brutal. Maybe the worst playcall (so far...) of the Kubiak error...uh, era. We win that game, we finish 10-6 and go to the playoffs.
but our next coach might call a halfback pass reverse flea flicker fumblerooski, so we can't really make a change in head coach just in case.
1. Monday night game, very fresh on my mind. Texans make the greatest comeback I have ever seen them do. At halftime I was looking forward to a blow out. It would give McNair a reason to fire Kubiak. Instead Texans made a great comeback, make a stop on defense in overtime, only to lose it by seeing Matt Schaub throw a pick six. Thus ending any chance we had at making the playoffs, thus giving McNair a reason to keep Kubiak for making the great comeback. 2. I say Jets game, about to end our losing streak beating one of the best teams in the NFL on the road. Jets had 50 seconds with no timeouts, just to see a guy like Mark Sanchez pick our secondary apart. Jets complete it in forty seconds. It continues our losing streak and much hope of ever making the playoffs.
