Ron Artest because it's most recent :D (hint: erase the recent part)

No seriously, it has to be Ron because at least the other 3 would hit their shots maybe 30-40% of the time, especially when they were in the zone.
Ron is never in the zone and those shots are lucky to go in, he makes maybe 10% of them which is very frustrating.

Now that you mention these tough shots Artest takes, has any1 ever seen Artest in the zone ? Where he makes a few baskets and gets so confident that he makes a couple in a row ? I haven't seen it so that's the major problem I have with his shots.

To compare it to a Maxwell, his shot selection was maybe worse but at least he got in a zone occasionally and made the most incredible fade aways, deep threes and off balance shots you could ever imagine. This is not the case with Ron and he should know better. Vernon thought he was always hot, though dangerous, is better than Ron who probably know he's throwing up a prayer. Maxwell = unconscious, Artest = conscious but wants the shot anyway, he has this it's all on me mentality

Also like DD said, Artest has no athleticism which Vernon definetly had so it looks ugly as hell and his form looks terrible too. Vernon's form was always beautiful, even when he shot off balance.

Rafer teardrop.. he did it multiple times when the game was on the line trying to be the hero. Ron Artest's shot selection is frustrating at times, but it's not as bad as Rafer's terrible tear drop.

Well based off the choices you have to say T-mac's 2 pointer with his foot on the line.

Just step back for the 3.

Now just shot selection, I would say Ron Artest.

I'm surprised there aren't more votes for Francis...anyone who watched those Rockets teams likely spend a fair amount of time head-butting nearby furniture.

    Steve was waaay, waaay worse:

Offense was Steve's job. It was his calling card. With Ron, I'm at least partially consoled by the fact that he plays his ass off on defense. Steve was a mediocre defender at best. The only reason he was an "elite" NBA player was his offense and athleticism...so watching him dribble around, and wait, and wait, and wait, and make a move to shake his guy AND HAVE A LANE TO ATTACK, BUT THEN BACK OUT TO CROSS HIM OVER A FEW MORE TIMES. It was so, so painful.

Francis also represented potential, and the face of the franchise. With ron, we know what we're getting, but with Steve, we were waiting for him to make the jump. To turn the ball over less than 4 times. To initiate the offense. It was a lot like training my dog...every time we thought he was FINALLY house trained, he went and **** on the rug again.

The recent memory of Hakeem only made it hurt more.

So many young'ns here thta don't know. Stevie's infamous 'dribble 20 seconds then jack something up' shot is legendary. At times, it was almost as annoying as Karla's freethrow shot.

I'm trying to remeber another Rocket who had/has annoyed me as much as Ron. I'm not going to miss him if we don't resign him. I'd rather have the Rockets resign Wafer.

I cringe everytime Ron is the guy at the wing when the ball comes to him and he's wide open....and those are his "good" shots with in the offense. Dude just can't shoot that well.

He's best when he dribbles it around in the post and uses his strength to get to the line.

Ron iso's from the top of the key are the worst thing I have every seen.....worse than moochie.

i went with Francis really because those things frustrated me to no end, that became the entire offense since francis was the point guard and many times it resulted in a turnover.

now ron's selection is bad but he usually will dribble out like 10 seconds of the clock maybe not the full 24 like steve did.

TMAC's heat-check 3 pointer was the worst. You don't throw your team away as a leader.

a lot of Yao's dunkable layups..... Dunks are so much better than layups.

Not so recent, but Barkley trying to back down Malone over and over in '97, and failing, every single time. It was maddening.

Yao/Scola/Landry have gotten many offensive rebounds off of Rafer's missed layups and floaters, so they don't really bother me that much. The long, off-balanced jumpers could lead to fast-breaks, as if they were turnovers.

I agree. They are all frustrating but you know T-mac can hit the three so is he just unaware of where the line is or what?

Haha, I like how the poll increase as it goes down the choice. Like it goes in order. I give Stevie a pass because him dribbling the ball and playing ISO was probably are best choice considering who we had out there. Rudy T thought the same too.

You know he can hit the three? He was a pretty awful three point shooter in his time here until this past season. I used to cringe every time he pulled up for that shot.

However, the most annoying shot selection is a tie for me between Francis "dribble fest" and Ron's "lead the shoulder in." Both are equally annoying. With Ron, once he leans that shoulder towards the defender I know he's going to shoot no matter what happens.
