I've only met a couple people that might be classified as famous. I met Bobby McFerrin once. For those that don't recognize the name he did the "dont worry be happy" song and he also worked on the intros to the cosby show. He was visiting our school's music department and I got to ride in a car with him from the airport. (I was at the right place at the right time and got asked if I wanted to help pick him up at the airport)

He was a really cool dude, the thing with him though is he refuses to do the "dont worry be happy" song. I guess I can understand his point, I'm sure wherever he goes someone asks him to perform it. He's got a very strong love for music and you can feel it when he talks, great guy.

That reminds me of when I met Don Nelson Marvin Zindler and Tom Koch from ABC 13 in houston.

Tom was pretty cool. Marvin was kind of out there, "the lights were on but nobody was home" if you know what i mean.

Pretty sad that I think these people are famous, hehe.

The dude from Channel 13, I think it's Wayne Dolchifino or something, saw him at Goode Co. BBQ on Kirby

    Robert Horry at Kinkos

    Hakeem at Mosque

Lee Brown on my radio show that I had back in the day

Van Chancellor on my radio show back in the day

Cynthia Cooper, Steve Francis, Laphonso Ellis all at a basketball thing that our HS coach took us too

    That's all I think.

Charles Barkley on TBS on the "fat track" poll: "What? 47% said I'd gain more.....why those.....they better be glad this is a family show."

I talked about this before, but Hakeem at the airport. Shorter than I thought. I was thinking that I could take him to the hole. Nice person. Said Thank-you to me when I requested his autograph.

I didn't actually meet them, but I saw Matt Pinfield and David Cassidy in Vegas this past weekend.

Also, when I worked at the airport: (1992-96)
Shook hands with George Foreman - bigger than I thought.
Saw Dikembe Mutombo - taller than I thought.
Got David Robinson's autograph. He was going to Cancun at gate IAB 1
Saw Sam Cassell up close - scary.
I am not sure, but I thought I saw Bruce Smith (back in 1993, when he was very good) - he looked very intimidating. Had an angry look on his face. I wanted to stop him, but didn't [IMG] .
I saw Alonzo, and my buddy tried to get his autograph, but got turned down - It was funny, I knew it would happen. Zo already was known for this [IMG] .

I saw other famous people like: Marvin Zindler, and other minor sports stars up close. It was cool working at the airport. I do have to say that standing in front of Hakeem, with him talking to me and being polite was the best experience as far as meeting famous people.

ok, I have met numnerous people. For one, I got to spend a day at a Miami Dolphins practice and met Marino, Shula, and Brian Cox. I have met Robert Reid and played ball with him. I have met Robert Horry, Steve Francis, and Kenny Smith. I met Doug Williams and Len Dawson in a hotel during Superbowl weekend in Miami during the NFL Experience. I have met Tom Glavine and other baseball players. My favorite ones were Francis and Craig Biggio. The list goes on and on...

I met Abe Vigoda one night at dinner. I have also met most of the Rocket Players from the early 90's.
