Let's see....I'll list the ones that I have really spent more than an introduction and a hand shake with...the rest are a lot of autographs, pictures and seen in the same place things...I'm suprised when I really begin to count those up...

    Hung out with/had dinner with:

    Tommy Lasorda-shared same table
    Earl Campbell-"different dinner"
    Fred Akers-""
Too Tall Jones-"in a bar in Dallas"
Bobby Phills and David Wesley at a black jack table in Puerto Rico...it was during the playoffs the year before he died...when I first sat down at the table...(I knew it was them) I said "man it must really be something to play in the NBA Playoffs...Wesley looked up at me like "what the f" and then the three of us cracked up. They bought me a couple drinks and we were cool for about 30 minutes...great guys.
Closed down a bar in the hotel marina in PR with Harrison Ford...dude is hillarious, and nows how to have a good time!

Had some BBQ and a few cold ones with Nolan Ryan, in a local dive...

Used to party with Mike Stanton when we were younger (same school) got some tickets when he first came to the Dome with the ATL.

Went to HS with guy that one $1M on game show "21" and also with Kimmy from Survivor II...both were two years younger than I, but I knew who they were.

Used to hang out with a bunch of Astronauts because I went to school with thier kids. I guess the most famous three would be Fred Haise from Apollo 13...(the unborn kid in the movie was my friend Tom), Ellison Onizuka and Michael Smith from the Challenger (frinds with Smith's son and Onizukas daughter) Still remember being on the teleconfrence with her at lift-off. One of the worst moments of my life.

I think that is about it...it's late, and if I remember more, I'll add them in.

    ------------------
In the end there will be no judges...only witnesses to my greatness.

Real quick story that shows how life cycles.

My California Cousin Julie (best friends of John Stamos and Rebecca Romaine) has a husband, who's mother was nursing the night when Richard Gear came in to have the mouse removed from his ass. Last week, my mom, who is a nurse in Syracuse Ny, took care of Richard Gear's mom in the hospital. Richard visted five times in five days. So he's a good kid for that. My mom got to meet him anyway. Just goes to show you how small this world is.

I met Chuck Norris forever ago at a dojo opening here in Houston.

ZZ Top gave me one of their trademark "ZZ" keychains when I was really young.

Autos from David Prowse and Peter Mayhew (Darth Vader and Chewbacca, respectively) and Evel Kneivel.

Back in '93 I sat next to one of Ice Cube's body guards on a plane to Austin from Houston. Cube himself was a few rows down. The body guard was really cool. He introduced me to Cube and I got his autograph.

I met George W. Bush a couple of years ago in Abilene. My university band played for him when he came into town. He autographed my chaps. (The band was the Cowboy Band; we wore Wranglers, cowboy hats, and chaps.) He was very cool and very personable. I have some faith in him as president based entirely on that one encounter.

I was working at Starbucks in early 1996 when this really tall guy in what looked like pajama pants walked in. It took me a minute, but I realized it was Dave Matthews of DMB fame.

He and his manager ordered four triple espressos to wake up (this was at 2 pm, mind you).

I asked him about the tour and he seemed genuinely surprised that anyone knew who he was. Long story short, he put my name on the guest list, and husband and I had a lovely time at the show.

Dan Rather. I had a friend though that was using the urinal in the San Antonio Airport and Elvis came in and used the one next to him (this was back in the late 60s/early 70s). That sighting also put him on the David Letterman show as an audience participant quiz thingy.

I've met a bunch of hockey people, though I don't know how well they'd be known in this circle:
Gordie Howe (Probably hockey's #2 to Wayne Gretsky)
    Rudy Poescheck (Famed NHL Enforcer)
Manny Fernandez (NHL Goaltender for Minnesota Wild -- #8 in nation)
Jim Paek (Defenseman -- 2 Stanley cups, 2 Turner Cups)
    Blake Sloan (Dallas Stars forward)
Jack Collendar (IHL all time leading scorer)
Brian Wiseman (1999 IHL MVP and leading scorer)
Paul Dyck (1999 IHL leading defenseman)

I really didn't get to talk to anyone above Jeff Balke beyond "Hello."

How pathetic is this? The only "famous" people I've ever met are as follows:

    1.) Warren Moon
2.) Ron Stone (used to be on Channel Two News and "The Eyes of Texas")

I think I'm gonna cry now.

I've met plenty of famous people, but my favorite to date was chatting with LaPhonso Ellis. By FAR the coolest celebrity I've ever met. Very nice guy, extremely personable...

I may have run into a bunch or never met a single one. I wouldn't really recognize a person I didn't personally know, so that keeps me pretty well insulated from the famous.

Fame is such a funny thing.

I live in the hamptons, so I see famous actors all the time. I talk to a few every year, or at least every summer. as far as atheletes go. I think there are a million people who can say they have met them(much like politicians) they are social, and meet hundreds of people a day.

I have had conversations with Cuttino Mobley, and Lamar Odom. Billy Joel, Sting, Brad Pitt, Jimmy Buffet, Harrison Ford, JFK JR.,Jessee Jackson, Mario Cuomo,But I have met Bill Clinton, Al Gore, sly stalone, chevy chase, meg ryan, and tons more.

they are all just people, and being sar crazy is just plain crazy

    Stephon Marbury
    Shawn Kemp
    Robert Reid
    Ricky Pierce
    Terry Teagle
    Chris Morris

Reid and Marbury were the only two I was able to actually speak to. They were both really nice to take the time to talk to me when I was at their basketball camps.
