the OP needs to clarify what he's asking for. If he's asking who's the most famous person on that list of people, than it's easily Barkley. If he asks who's famous that you associate with the Rockets, than it's obviously Dream.
What's so wrong with that? We did essentially the same thing trading for Clyde Drexler. I don't think anyone can honestly say we win the 1995 Championship without that trade. Barkley nearly helped bring another championship to Houston when he breathed new life into the team. He certainly didn't leave on a sour note the way Pippen did.
I don't think Naj is talking about Barkley, but rather about someone whom a lot of idiots have this delusional belief that he was a Rocket or something for a year.
I don't know about the rest of the world but in the US Charles and Kenny are both more famous the Hakeem unfortunately.
Since I'm fairly young, I have no recollection of Scottie Pippin in a Rockets uniform. Now that might be a good thing since he gets so much hate on this board, but what did he actually do for all the hate? I've tried to look up but I can't figure out whether he just didn't fit, or was a bad team player. I didn't want to start a thread so I've been waiting for somebody to mention him. But to answer the OP question, it's Barkley for being just famous. Hakeem for being Rocket famous.

Thanks for that. I knew about Charles and what happened but since Scottie was only with the Rockets for a short period, it was hard to get anything on him. I don't know why I didn't look at ClutchFans. I guess I thought they wouldn't have anything from around that time. Thanks tinman. I can always count on you for Rockets history, plus your desire to have Tracy McGrady never step foot into Texas.
hahaha you can always trust clutch and crew's articles to accurately describe the mood of the rockets fans at any given period.
They are everywhere because they wanna make money. Charles lost all of his money on gambling and his own personal issues.
This is because he has pushed himself into the limelight post-retirement and made sure to stay there. Hakeem is content to live quietly, more or less.
For us Rockets fans, it's pretty obvious. Bryce Drew. As far as to the casual NBA fan, I'm not so sure. Does the OP mean retired players that people associate with the Rockets...? or Just any retired player that has put on a Rockets jersey at least once?
