Most diverse has gotta be Sean Penn. dumb surfer, tough cop, r****d, intellectual, gay activist, tortured soul most actors have the only one or two of these characters down. Penn does all of them perfectly with no hint of his last character lingering. John Malkovich Gary Oldman Meryl Streep Kathy Bates Val Kilmer Cuba Gooding Jr. Johnny Depp (I'm reluctant to place him in my list even though i like him as a person and actor, but in all honesty, I think he is a better version of keanu and not really deserving of being with the elite acting-wise. Jeffrey Wright is a good mention. Not the biggest acting credits but he definitely gets into the different characters he plays.
