So I've been reading all these "cut rybo" threads and man, I don't think there's one member of the board who actually like this guy.

as he IS the worse player on our team, is he the worse rocket? sure seems like he's the most disliked.

anyone wanna post any other rocket they truly wanted off the team? my other rocket i dont like would be scottie pippen, but he could actually ball.

please discuss and lock if somethin similiar is open.

as soon as i saw the thread title, i thought of only one name:

can you imagine how good we could've been with dream, barkley, and him? gosh.

Don't forget that we would have had Dream,CB4, Quitten AND Francis.

    Pippen is number 1.

Charles Oakley but not because of the limited time he spent with the Rockets.

What was that Jazzhole with the tinted sunglasses that spent some time with the Rockets as well?

After that I would go fairly far back and say David Wood, and Dave Jamerson.

I'm glad I'm not the only who thinks that Scottie Pippen was the worst Rocket of all time. He ruined the chemistry of that team.

To the OP, I bet if you created an anonymous poll and put Yao's name there as an option just for the heck of it, you would see he'll receive substantial votes.

Although now some people might do so just to be a pain, I disagree. I can't beleive many would place Yao as their most disliked Rocket.

    No contest. Scotty Quitten.

That said, Quitten was hated AFTER he left. So who was hated DURING their tenure.

Juwan Howard and Ryan Bowen would both qualify ...neither of which I fully understand. It isn't like Bowen negatively affects our team. If he gets cut, we'll simply replace him with another player that doesn't play.

Juwan Howard was a STARTER so he is much more high-profile.

Looking at past players, people CONSTANTLY complained about Kenny Smith but winning cures all ills. If we had not won championships with him, The Jet would have been on the all-time hated list.

    Outside of the obvious Pippen:

Matt Maloney used to take a lot of heat after his first year, when they moved the three point line out and he was a perennial liability on defense and the salary cap.

I'm shocked no one on this board has mentioned Steve Francis.

    pippin and barkley for me.

barkley DESTROYED what beauty we once had. he shortened dreams career. drexler retired early because of him. pippin quit because of him. we lost out on the great careers of cassell and horry because of him.

pippin should have kept his mouth shut and let the rockets trade him in thier own time. he rushed the team into a trade and we got cato and walt williams for him. the other 4 guys were cut or just sucked. why didnt we DEMAND JO in that deal? he didnt even get any PT until they traded him to indy.
    ------------

i would never have traded horry and cassell for barkley. maybe we wouldn't have done so well for a couple of years but when pippin signed we would've had:

    dream
    horry
    pippin
    clyde
    cassell

we could've won the championship that year.

    I think Scottie Pippen

And nobody has mentioned Eddie Griffin, I think he was a bad rocket player too.
