I was saying this before the season, Kaman was a subpar player who finally had a DECENT (that's average, not good) season. And to think he was getting "2nd best center" talk from some commentators, and defenders on this board trying to argue that his huge contract resigning was worth it.
In addition to the ones already listed, I'd like to throw these in for honorable mention (not MOST disappointing, but not up to par): Charlie Villanueva- should have become a potent offensive player in the Bucks system with Redd and Bogut...instead has flashes of brilliance and barely gets 12/6 Marcus Banks- signed to be Nash's backup PG to let Barbosa roam at the 2...instead, he sits at the end of the bench and wasn't even part of the 8-10 deep for a long stretch....
haha...i saw that one coming. For me its Troy Murphy. Consistent double double season after season. This year...geez.
Vilanueva just couldn't stay healthy. He did put up double doubles in the few games where he was at his full strength.
lebron. he should be the best player in the league but he just doesn't seem to be motivated. of course it's ridiculous that he can put up 27/6/6 on cruise control, but he's gotta start taking over. watching him get schooled by wade a few games ago was disappointing. luckily, he just turned 22 so he's got time to figure things out.
I saw this one coming. He's a soft player who's pretty inefficient and can't really create. He ran up counting stats as a rookie in Toronto, but if you dug a little deeper, you saw that he wasn't a very good option. That's why Toronto was so willing to give him up for a mediocre point guard.
From our perspective I would say Bonzi , V Span and Steve Novak- the one thing going for them is that there are about 35 games still to play. JLIII and Padgett are playing as expected and to their maximum ability, considering all the factors.
I just cant think of anyone that dropped as far as Kirelenko, a couple years ago, he was untouchable, 16 points per game 5x5 threat, do everything All-star this year he looks lost, struggles to top 10 points and rebounds, blocks and steals are all down.
It's turned out to be an absolute steal for Toronto. TJ Ford is having a great season (~15 ppg & ~8 apg) and is a huge reason why Toronto is leading the Atlantic and the only team in the division above .500. If he's mediocre, what is Alston?
