Yao and Spanoulis should have also made this poll "most criticism in Rockets history". JVG could be honorable mention.

take a look from 2/26 on (when yao got injured), he's been fairly consistent. obviously he's not a superstar so a bad game or 2 here and there are expected. but in general as expected for a role player, he's performed very well since yao went down. he's one of the guys who stepped up for us.

if anyone is to blame, it's bobby and luther.

we were a 4th seed last year, if you add to that yao, barry, greene, dorsey. I mean I say we are pretty f/king awesome.

During the streak (after Yao went down), he averaged 42% in 10 games. In the subsequent 11 games, he shot 33%

Keep in mind that the 42% includes a game where he shot 3-18 which is the only game in the streak where he shot less than 30%. He shot less than 30% 4 times in the final 11 games.

Seriously man...when you're given stats that refute your contention, do you even look at them? Or do you ignore them and keep right on preaching?

dude name me a normal role player that is as good as you say they are? rondo? dfish? they started for championship teams.

we ain't talking about a star player here. i'm talking about a role player. nobody was complaining that much about rafer since yao went down. many now is content with rafer starting (we just need a good backup).

do you hear any trades for rafer unlike last yr, when this entire board wanted him gone?

he's been more consistent than last yr and that's all we asked for. he's improved.

    i think its tmac

Every year going into the playoff how much crap tmac takes. he is so non shilant about it though. eventually tmac will get out of the first round, and then maybe he will be called a superstar but until then people are just gonna say he is the highest paid player not to make it out of the first round in his career.

Howvever i do not agree man, but thats life in the NBA.

So originally, you say that we can't expect that much from Rafer b/c the good role players play for championship caliber teams.

Then, you say that we just need a good backup pg. In other words, Rafer is capable of starting.

So based on your assertions, we are not championship caliber since championship caliber teams have consistent role players (which Rafer isnt).

Seriously man, stop arguing with me. You're just confusing yourself.

rafer is a good role player. when have I say he's not?

of course you need a good backup b/c rafer can't play 48 minutes can he?

i named you rondo and dfish, who are highly inconsistent also, esp. rondo, as examples of even worse role players who played for championhshp caliber teams?

    do you read?

Looks like I pilled a nerve when I mentioned the T O Fs. LOL

Can you read? Steve was popular but that doesn't mean he had many only-fans at that time. Are you capable of seeing the difference? And what's up with your question about how long I have been following the team. I don't need to tell someone like you how long exactly it has been but I can tell you for sure that I have been following the team before Steve forced his way out of the Grizzlies to come to Houston. Do you find it helpful to question someone's history as a fan in order to help your own argument? Know what? That's weak.

It's going to be hilarious to see them try pull that act over at the Pistons boards, if McGrady does in fact wind up in Detroit and wrecks that franchise.
