No I don't agree. People should fight corruption wherever it exists. The point is fighting it and lessening it. It might not be completely gone but that doesn't mean we shouldn't be vigilant and eliminate as much of it as possible.

That is doubly true of people who are in positions of authority such as law enforcement.

I agree. And such measures already exist, i.e. internal affairs/investigations. But when OP makes statements like "Cops are infinitely more frightening than the criminals they're allegedly protecting us from", that's completely wrong.

True, but I have to admit that video was funny. Looked like me trying to play GTA IV last night.

Agreed. And it did look like a video game, the dude committed. But evidence that police are idiots? meh.

Yeh. Pretty hard to find some rationale for that behavior, regardless of what transpired before the wreck. Wow.

It's not that cops are more violent - it's that people who are more violent want the power of being a cop.

the testosterone driven douche bags in high school who couldn't succeed at anything they did, so they became cops under the guise of "protecting and serving the Country"

its funny, the two things a society needs most intelligence: teachers and peace keepers

are probably some of the most underqualified in the brain department

Most of these posts are related to serious offenses/charges...

Taking a step further back I can honestly say I have never met a polite police officer. Forget any serious offense... I just think they are generally disrespectful and on a constant power trip.

If your job requires interacting with a-holes, you will eventually become an a-hole. It's human nature.

It's not human nature. Plenty of us deal with assholes on a regular basis without becoming like them. Also, there's a distinction between being an ******* (saying something rude) and being an ******* (abusing your power by violently beating a non-resisting suspect until he can't stand and then charging him with assault on a police officer).
