The Rockets will NOT be playing on Christmas Day. See 2004-05 Schedule at Rockets.com FYI.......This year's upcoming Christmas marquee game........ Shaq returns to LA to face Kobe. But here's a nice consolation prize......the Rockets are tied with the Heat and Lakers for most National TV appearances with 33. So while they might not be playing in the Christmas marquee game, they are indeed a marquee draw.
As for my most anticipated moment........ Gotta Rockets vs. HEAT Top 5 reasons why ...... Yao vs Shaq.....always a good matchup. But especially better for us if Shaq plays the regular season matchup with a half-assed effort like he did this season. T-Mac vs. D-Wade......I'm surprised alot of people are sleeping on this matchup. This will be interesting to watch as D Wade continues his rapid ascent to being one of the best players in the NBA. This also makes the Heat vs Rockets matchup better overall as both teams will sport great inside-out games. Should be fun to watch. Van Gundy vs. Van Gundy.......for reasons unspecified. Beyonce' vs. Gloria Estefan....ahh battle between the cities singing diva representatives. So who will prevail Destiny's Child or Miami Sound Machine. "Bootylicious" or "Conga?" "No, No, No, No, Nah," or "Words Get In The Way" You get the picture....... Lil Flip vs. Trick Daddy........ahh, the all important Rap Battle. Who's back ya got here.....
Although I know that T-mac is one of the best players in the NBA,I'm really looking forward to Stevie, Cat, and Cato coming to Houston and stomping us. I'm a Rocket fan til I die, but I'm still not a supporter of the trade, and specifically how it went down. I hope Stevie and Cat give JVG hell. Cod PS...I hate JVG!
I'm quite looking forward to a day mid-late May 2005. One of two things will happen, and I'd be quite pleased either way. The possibilities are: (1) the Rockets will still be playing, or (2) Jeff Van Gundy will be on the streets. A greedy person might ask for both via a January swoon followed by a new head coach and a recovery to rival Drexler and 1995, but that's not realistic.
