I get annoyed when a speeder that can't pass me on the left for whatever reason tries to pass me on the right, when clearly both of us are gaining on the cars in the right lane at a speed that would make it impossible for him to get in front of me unless I brake for him. It's not like I speed up or anything to prevent him from passing me, I keep a consistent speed. Then once he realizes he can't pass me he angrily switches lanes to get back behind me and rides my ass like I wronged him or something. I mean, did he actually want me to break for him to let him in, or is he just pissed off at the laws of physics? Honestly, I actually like when that happens. Maybe it's more rewarding than annoying.
Drivers who like to drive side by side with other cars for that ironic sense of security. Combine them with self righteous drivers who deliberately drive 5 miles below the speed limit and you get rush hour traffic at 2 in the afternoon. And on the speed lane where there isn't a car ahead in sight, I hate when a car cuts you off and then accelerates 5mph faster when you're going 10 mph faster than his original lane. That assumes they see you in the first place, but if they did, they just had to drive in front of you instead of letting you pass by.
I agree. Tailgaters are a**holes. It sucks when I'm on the right lane and I get tailgated. It's quite annoying.
I agree. Not only does it not accomplish anything to tailgate someone, but it also puts you and the other driver in harm's way.
All I wanna do is to thank you even though I don't know who you are you let me change lanes while I was driving in my car. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/P2UUvG-XuQs&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/P2UUvG-XuQs&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> F*** everyone else on the road. Aggro's take the cake though. Congrats on beating me to the red light.
Regardless of the law, what you do is dangerous driving. People in England regularly do 20+ the speed limit on the motorway, but because they strictly follow the passing lane rules, you feel way safer than over here.
I don't really mean it ok to "tailgate" somebody, but you gotta at least let them know that you are trying to go the speed limit in the fast lane. Maybe just tap their bumper lightly, get their attention.
-drunk people -slow people (below speed limit) i dont care if you go AT speed limit just dont go below -ppl that stop at stop signs for like 10 mins -ppl that drive bad and slow with a cell phone -ppl that cant pick a lane -ppl that put music on loud and its crap music -ppl that think they are cool when driving
Look it up for yourself. I can't remember the wording of Texas state law on the matter, but I think it's a "slower traffic keep right" and you are DEFINITELY supposed to yield the left lane to faster moving traffic. Take driver's ed, defensive driving, etc. and you'll learn that. No one asks you to speed in the left lane. If you don't want to go as fast as the traffic behind you, get over and let them go do whatever they want to do. It's a matter of driving safety. I rarely am in the left lane personally because I know I have no interest in going that fast, but I also know people who drive like jerks are the cause of most accidents.
People who think this passing lane concept gives them any moral high ground on me. It's still illegal. And, you'd be safer still if everyone stayed under the limit.

I never said I drive fast. If you're held hostage by a crazed gunman, and he tells you to crab dance for his amusement, are you going to refuse because holding someone hostage is illegal? Seems like it'd be a hell of a lot safer to do what he asks.
