Yeah LP, I was on vacation in Michigan at the time...I went to a really crappy little clinic where they told me to just rinse every 20 minutes with a combination of children's Benadryl and Maalox. It was supposed to coat my mouth and numb the pain enough for me to eat...totally didn't work AND I had a nice thick film of **** on my teeth for that whole week (it was impossible to try and brush). No medicine. I would've gladly been zonked out on hydrocodone the whole time, but it wasn't offered. :\
I've had several, but it was because of the toothpaste I had started using. Needless to say I don't use that kind anymore.
Gout. You get it from eating delicious food and it makes you gimpy like a 80 year old man with arthritis.
I second this. When I get the hiccups, it's always violent and long lasting. They seem to come in spurts (like I'll get it twice a week, then won't get it for the next 6 months).
When my wisdom tooth came in impacted. Ugh. Worst pain ever. Throbbing, searing, pain every night. No sleep. Nothing helped.
All I really remember about them is coming out of the surgery afterwards and everything hurt so bad and all I could hear was you smacking your effin' gum. I woulda put that one down, but the OP said ailments that don't normally require extensive medical care. I figured being put under is extensive.
