Unreal. Here's a photo of him from the HOF ceremony on Friday night... seemed to be doing well. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Moses Malone photo-bomb! <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/HOF2015?src=hash">#HOF2015</a> <a href="http://t.co/5qfac93hxG">pic.twitter.com/5qfac93hxG</a></p>— NBA TV (@NBATV) <a href="https://twitter.com/NBATV/status/642470932322217984">September 11, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
Just horrible/stunning...This is out of left field. GREAT GUY, GREAT ROCKET ...A mighty player and fantastic tutor. Fo Fo Fo forever.
So sorry to hear this. Great, great player... he was the first Rocket I was fascinated with. I had his "Moses" poster as a kid. RIP.
Dang. That's sad. Man was crazy talented even though he didn't win a championship here, he helped Hakeem become of the greatest players and pushed him to become what he became.
Why the big surprise? It's the one thing that's guaranteed to happen to everyone. The problem is everyone thinks they'll be the one to reach past 100 and don't give thoughts to their mortality or after life. I would urge everyone to take this sad moment in a bball legend's life to think about where they want to spend their eternity. Prayers to his family and friends who will be the ones truly affected by this.
Yeah ...." Me and four guys from St. Pete" ....listening to Gene call those games when Moses was playing volleyball was..... Ahhhh...Man...
^Ahhh...Man is right! Retired Jersey! Thank you Moses, RIP. And congrats on the Fo, Fo Fo. Arguably the best team ever in the NBA.
RIP Moses. Our lineage of big men is one short now. While I was too young to have watched him in his prime, I respect his monster legacy with the hometown team and in the league.
Moses to Maurice Cheeks - "There is a rat in the house, and he wants some cheese." Hakeem translation -- "gif me da ball."
Totally caught off guard. I hope Clutch can put together a tribute to our first Retired Jersey Obit. Maybe we can help, Clutch
