I love it, he says he doesn't care about putting up numbers, just defense and that's what's going to get him playing time. I hope this rubs off on Terrence Williams who could use the same attitude.

Right now I think the rotation is:

Lowry / Dragic / Flynn / Lin (if signed)
    Martin / Lee
Budinger / Morris / Blakey (if signed) / Williams
    Scola / Patterson / Morris
    Hill / Patterson / Thabeet

    I don't see why he can't succeed as a 3.
World Piece is slow like a turtle, played great defense and was on the floor.

Time for him to move on? He has impressed in camp so far. Its really time to trade Kevin Martin. One thing Kevin McHale likes in players is toughness and I dont think KMART is really so tough

Terrence is going to play, because he can play defense better than anyone on our roster.

True. You need toughness to average over 20ppg in a tough league. Wait...

WP has anticipation in defense; it is not something can be easily learned.

um ...I really hope that is not the rotation opening day. that is the softest front court in the NBA and i'm not even sure Jordan Hill is rosterable on a good team. As for Thabeet, if he's a 3rd string center with those other two in front of him, making what he's making, we can close the book on Thabust.

Artest just cared about defense while most players don't. Defense is all about effort and attitude. You just have to give a crap and pay attention.

Just watch how Kmart half asses it when he's closing out on shooters. Kmart just doesn't care about defense much.

The most dominant player in summer league history Tskitivili agrees with you.

Hmm... But how many ppg does Martin's respective opponents make on average? For-to-against ppg ratio is probably a better measure of toughness, in that particular category at least.

Martin actually has the highest +/- on the team compared to his opponents. It stands at +13. Martin can contribute to a championship team. He just can't be your go to guy during crunch time.

Without Adelman tutoring him, Martin will not be as effective. I think he will struggle because he is not the strongest mentally. We have a question mark at the 3 and the 5 defensively and Scola is not a capable defender.

Isn't it that his 20 ppg average is considered as 20 points less against the other team? Is it comparable to a team mate who can reduce his man's score by 10 pts and still score 10 pts for himself.
