Once a " superstar" always a " superstar " in the nba regardless of how bad you play SMH harden was a 6th man off bench and magically became a star player to rockets fans. As we compare him to the real stars of the nba there's no comparison
From memory, KL was pretty adamant that he definitely didnt want to stay. I think it was cos of his bad relationship with McHale. So it wasnt KL being pushed out, was more that he jumped off. I'd google it for you but am too tired.
Imo Lowry hated that McHale kept Dragic as the starter despite Dragic performing at a borderline allstar level.
Everybody saying letting Lowry go... You guys understand that the pick we got for him was used in getting harden right?? So it's not Lowry vs Lin. It's Lowry vs. Harden. This was not a mistake by Morey
Dorsey was not a good pick in retrospect. Talent-wise, neither was Donte Greene, but he did get us Ron Artest from the Kings, which would've made us a legit championship contender had McGrady stayed healthy. Personally, I can forgive Morey for gambling on guys like T Will and Royce White. I just hope he won't make ignoring personality issues too much of a habit.
I never understood the dumping of Marcus Morris. He was no star but he was a young stretch four, tough, team player and we just dumped him for nothing.
That's not what I said. And I am not saying that we are regretting getting Dwight SO FAR. (Whether he is our best player is debatable, though. Many would say Harden.) I said we might be better off with some other star (with approximately same value) than with him. Of course having him is better than not having a star. But is he the most ideal "first wheel" for us in the long run? We'll see. I don't hate him. But I do think that he is not the "best" for us in a perfect world.
It's funny how Clutchfans knew Dragic's worth but nobody else seemed to. I guess maybe the Suns, lol.
morey was prepared to wait out until 2015 when they had a chance to sign two stars. that's why he didn't want the option. if there's no harden, there's no dwight. the rockets would still be in the lottery collecting assets and selling the idea royce white and marcus morris are potential superstars in the meantime.
I mean you could trade him now in 2014 if you thought you could get a superstar in 2014. A player option on a really good is not something hard to trade.
This. Pretty much everybody here loved Dragic's game in the short time he was here. He even made Wesbrook look silly at times with that crossover of his.
