I feel KG got way too much pump during the finals....if Yao avgd. what he did he would've been punked on.

KG needed all these others guys to make it happen and it seems like they kept saying how Rondo and all the other non-superstars had to step up to make it happen.

I know that when you win avg's are a moot point but I thought KG is not as much a superstar according to his avg's especially against a weak frontcourt in the Lakers.....just my opinion.

KG plays hard, but is possibly the most overated player I have ever seen.

He is good, don't get me wrong, but to me he is a 2nd tier star....not a player capable of leading a team.....

I am happy that he got the ring, he plays hard all the time, but if you are looking for a guy to hit a clutch shot....it ain't KG.

Thanks DD I'm glad I'm not the only one.......and as for Paul Pierce his one on one crap blew thise games against Greece and others....I thought I would have never said someone was as selfiish as Kobe....but before the playoffs thats the way I felt....he's good but he isn't KOBE good no matter what he thinks.

I did love atching the Celtics defense but their offense relied too much on the little guys for my liking and their superstars looked soft....lucky they got there when they did...we'll see if it happens again.

If they are going to renew the rivalry Celtics/ Lakers....people like me are never going to forget the Celtics stopping the Rockets.

SORRY to be off topic but I thnk Morey has found guys who know their roles and play hard as opposed to the "ALL about the NAMES" that CD would bring in.

The thing a lot of people overlook about KG is his defense. In addition to being a very good post defender, he also is possible the greatest pick and roll defender of all time. When you add that to his ferocious rebounding and his very good passing, I don't think he is overrated. He is just misunderstood.

I'm going to be honest-- when I first read the thread title, I thought I was about to read an article about a part of Morey's past that I probably didn't want to know about.

Wow. Pig Miller. I remember that guy. He basically did nothing. That dude averaged 3 points per game his whole career.

But man, what a trip down memory lane!

    nice thread with pics :p

we've been looking for good power forwards, and those players make an impact and they're efficient statistically...and they're just really productive and play well.
