Of course you cannot blame him for injuries but given Beverley's history, already playing injured (!), our need for a second playmaker regardless because of Beverley and a lack of a proper back-up, there is no excuse for Morey's lack of getting one at the deadline.

If Beverley's out for the year and we suffer greatly because of it, we have every right to hold Morey responsible! This is probably going to work out great for Morey and McHale though, Leslie already thought this season was a win, so they are not on the hotseat since injuries will be blamed.

Yes Morey should have traded dmo for a pg . That way when jones gets hurt we can have this exact thread except it will be about moreys failure to get a PF . Honestly , I shouldn't have even responded . Don't feed the trolls let's stop posting a lock this baby up .

Definitely took a risk and it failed us. Remember we got KJ McDaniel who plays the same position as Brewer & Ariza. That roster spot should've been for a pg. He passed up on Nate Robinson and apparently had no interest in Isiah Thomas. Both those guys are better than what we have

Attack me personally all you want, a lot of people wanted a PG / play maker and thought Morey should've gotten us one. Now that it's even more apparent, people rather go at me than at Morey..sure I vented a little bit, but still.

Morey wanted a PG, but he either didn't have the assets to acquire one(Knight) or didn't wanna gamble on a potential rental(Dragic). The real mistake was not dealing with this situation last summer. He and Les were so busy going after Melo and Bosh that they dismissed the importance of that position which was a huge mistake coming off of a postseason where the starter, Bev, was hobbled due to a knee injury and his backup, Lin, single-handedly gave away Game 4 and nearly coughed up Game 3.

If Bev is done for the year(or severely limited by this injury), it's a major wakeup call for Rockets management. They need to make a starting PG their #1 priority this offseason. Forget flexibility for Durant(who himself has questionable health at this point) in 2016. Deal with this position this summer once and for all. You have the #13 or #14 pick in the draft barring a collapse by OKC or a lucky ping pong ball bounce for the Pelicans. You have assets like T-Jones and D-Mo. You have future 1st and 2nd rounders. You have this year's Knicks 2nd round pick. No more excuses or kicking the can down the road.

You just turned a bad thread into a reminiscently painful one.

    Why you do that?

Sorry, but it's important that we remember these things. When Morey insists that these playoff losses come down to coinflips, I call BS on that. It comes down to who makes the plays and who doesn't. When you settle for mediocrity at a key position like point guard, don't be surprised when your team's playoff results are mediocre.

    What an incredibly stupid post.

You deal realize there are constraints in team building right?

Let me guess, you are probably one of the people who b****ed and moaned about how terrible Beverley was all season and now that he is possibly out you will post about how huge of a disaster it is.

What constraints were there last summer in obtaining a point guard? We had 20 mil available for Melo or Bosh. Don't tell me we couldn't afford a point guard. What about leading up to the trade deadline? We had assets we could've traded. Now I don't mind Morey not being willing to part ways with D-Mo, T-Jones, or the NOP pick. But that's a conscious choice he made and he knew it was a gamble. But bottom line, it was a choice. Not a constraint.

As for Bev, I've been critical of his play this season, but I wouldn't say he's terrible. I certainly didn't say he was garbage as has been uttered in another thread in the GARM. But I think that's fair to criticize his performance. He's been inconsistent on offense. And worst of all, his defense has regressed. Of course, I want him in the lineup since Terry and Pepperoni are both 37 and ill-equipped to handle the murderers row of PGs in the West. That being said, there's no excuse for Bev to be the Rockets' starting PG in 7 months when the 2015-16 season tips off.
