that's boring! rockets fans have been on this ride and i think it goes in a circle because they still have the same issues at the end of every year and the wait till next year catch phrase that has been used to death. winning cures all and as long as the rockets have keep the just happy to be here attitude their fans will always be unhappy. at least they're getting nba players instead of those cba players. that's a bright spot.

damn I hate it when people bump my old threads....but its okay.. I must say, I made this thread 4 hours before the deadline,Later that day the Rockets were in talks with Suns for amare trade that was about to go down. I proposed battier/cbud/scola for a good pf, and later we find out that day that the rockets offered battier/cook/scola/picks for amare.....I was "close". I also mentioned we need a "backup pf" . At the point I made this we didnt have Jordan Hill yet. I say now that Hill can be that backup. I still want Amare though but he is going to Miami or Bulls or Cleveland I think.
I don't understand the comparasion. 2004 Pistons after midseason trade is one of the best defensive team ever in NBA history, if not the best. This Rocket team has quite a few weak defenders.
That is also the reason I'm in favor of Lowry/Martin/Ariza/Scola/Yao over Brooks/Martin/Ariza/Scola/Yao. I can't remember when was the last time a team won Championship with 3 weak defenders in the starting lineup.
They fell hard? They made it to the finals the next year and to the conference finals the year after that if I remember correctly
