While its hard not to look at this as a homer, lets say we could trade our whole roster away and have a team of Bosh+Lebron+Wade+Scrubs, or we could do a Bosh trade, and have a starting line-up of Brooks/Martin/Ariza/Bosh/Yao, with a bench of Lowry/Budinger/Patterson/Hayes/Taylor. What team do you think would be better for a championship run? Because while the big three team might be fun to watch, I'd prefer the deeper team for a championship run, its much safer and I don't think you can win many championships with just 3 good players, no matter how good those 3 are. So basically what I'm saying is, if I was Bosh, Houston is a safer bet to win a championship, and of course you get the China connection. And, you wouldn't be overshadowed by Lebron and Wade, which could possibly be a problem in Miami, marketing wise I mean. I honestly don't see why Bosh would choose to go with those two on one team, it just doesn't seem smart to me. At all. Houston seems like the best choice all around, on paper at least
so if Morey is able to put on his wizard robe and cap and pull off a deal for Bosh where the main pieces are Jordan Hill, the expiring contract of Jared Jeffries, the 2012 NY Pick I say we all chip in and put a poster of this outside of the MSG office
Yes, indeed. And Patterson would slot in as Bosh's back-up... or even slide to SF if Scola backs up Bosh. Morey has indicated PP's flexibility in moving between SF and PF. It's be a very young, fresh, athletic bench, especially if you pair them with the toughness of Kyle Lowry and the defense of Shane Battier (if we don't send him to Toronto).
That's not enough salary going their way. I say this deal: Jeffries Battier Patterson 2012 NY pick If we could trade them Patterson instead of Hill that would be even better. Hill is more capable of manning down the 5 than Patterson is, and I have a feeling he's going to have a big year.
You don't give away talent if you don't have to. I have faith that Morey will balance out the roster one way or another. Morey is not restricted to making only 1 trade.
kevinarnovitz(some espn guy): Bosh won't find a better situation than HOU. Defensive 5. Knockdown 2. Can't go wrong with either PG. Will be in penalty all game!

Been lurking the forums for about 10 years...thought I would start postin. I agree. We did the same by meeting with Gortat last season...didn't work out. I don't think the Rockets will get a deal done until the end of July beginning of August, if at all any. I think teams who resign their star for a S&T have a deal in place, but wont pull the trigger until they feel no one else will offer anything better. Waiting game time...see yall on the flip side...
The only thing keeping him from making the decision is Yao. If Yao was completely healthy, we'd be a no-brainer. If we can convince him that Yao will be back to his pre-foot injury form (with the reconstructed foot), then Bosh should/would choose Houston. A lineup of: Brooks/Lowry Martin/Taylor Ariza/Budinger Bosh/Patterson Yao/Hayes ...is a damn good lineup. Maybe Toronto buys out Battier (so we send in cash for the buyout). Maybe we can sign Wafer back on the cheap and stick him in behind Martin, as Taylor develops some more. We'd still need to sign a center (maybe Haywood for the MLE?). Lots of options.
Billboards are good, but we need a "Daryl Morey's people of NY" commercial rooting for them to tank next season.
