Then a Hill+Battier+Jeffries+Picks deal would work perfectly.

    @mi0304: Speculation on Chad's part.

No one outside of Houston was talking Bosh to Houston - now they're coming in and saying Bosh to Houston? Houston and Bosh? What?! That'd be a great team! Feigen says there is a framework of a deal though. Curious what it is. :p

Kevin Martin, Battier, P. Patterson, K. Lowry RT @ymmij2k how are the Rockets a 60 win team without Aaron Brooks? Yao, Bosh, Arizia and ????

Ford answering a random person's tweet and forgets to include Scola and Budinger. That's a testament to how deep this team is!

Yes I saw that. The Rockets could offer Brooks and Hill, etc but it doesnt mean they will.

    http://www.myfoxhouston.com/dpp/sports/local/100701-rockets-meet-with-chris-bosh

Houston - Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey told FOX 26 Sports he met with free agent forward Chris Bosh late Wednesday night in Dallas.

"I am very excited to get a chance to show Chris what the Rockets are all about," Morey said. "We put our best foot forward.

"This is a big moment for him becoming a free agent and I was able to show him the quality team we will have if he joins us.

"I was able to show him if he joins us we are a championship contender."

Morey said his meeting with the four-time NBA All-Star lasted about 20 minutes.

You don't match salaries based on average salary over the life of the contract. You have to match salaries based on the first year's salary. The max starting salary for a player of Bosh's experience is about $16.6 million. And you only have to within 125% + 100k of the incoming salaries, which is about $13.28 million. You could trade as little as this much to match salaries:

    Jeffries (6.8m)
    Hill (2.7m)
    Anderson (2.5m)
    Taylor (780K)
    Alexander Johnson (884K)

Oh yeah, I would too. Is it that unrealistic though? Its not like Toronto has a ton of control here to where they could demand much more. I mean if needed we could add like a Taylor and cash considerations. Then we end up with a team of

    Brooks/Lowry
    Martin/Buddinger
    Ariza/????
    Bosh/Scola/Hill
    Yao/Hill/Hayes

Thats an amazing starting line-up and still a really strong bench. You got a second unit with Lowry, Buddinger, Scola, and Hill. not bad if you ask me. Use the MLE on another SF. Ronnie Brewer was mentioned for example.

You still have a ton of young talent, everyone being below 30 except Scola. This team could win championships for many years. And I personally can see it happening

the way Morey is talking about how our roster with Bosh would rival the best we ever had has me thinking that we might not have to give up to much for Bosh

No, I don't think its that unrealistic, everything matches up. But i just hope Toronto doesn't go crazy asking for too much. I think we can get Bosh without giving up some of our core like Martin or Brooks.

I agree, I don't think I like the sound of that... Hope it's a good thing though.
