    That was fast. I didn't expect the Rockets to meet with him until Friday or so.

    Not so far. If i remember correctly he did say he was going to be letting everyone know who he is meeting with. I'm assuming he will have something to say about it.

    Bosh met with the rockets first because he has very little interest in us. Last meetings are the important ones. Bosh wants to win he's either going to end up with Wade or James. Not with an injury prone center and our 6 ft tall superstar.

    You will need $22 mln in salary, the max contract for Bosh is 6 years and like $21 mln per. Take a look at what Tmac was paid and that's the starter.

    Battier = $7 mln
    Jeffries = $7 mln
    Scola (resigned) $8 mln
    Brooks = $4 mln
    Lowry (resigned) $4 mln
    Ariza = $5 mln
    Hill = $2 or $3 mln

    These are the only players they will want, plus our future draft picks.

    They justed draft Ed Davis at PF. He's too soft to play spot minutes at C. With Hill, he can play minutes at C and at PF, since he is more physical than Davis. If they got Patterson in return, it would mean less playtime for Davis.

    Wow, I'm surprised we were able to meet with him so quick. Did we really get the first meeting?

    Good job dmorey.

    I still doubt it will happen, but if it doesn't it's definitely not at the fault of Dmorey or the Rockets organizations lack of trying.

    No it's not. Where did you get that $21 mil figure from? He hasn't been in the league as long as T-Mac.

    I think your math is incorrect, I believe the starting salary is around $15 million, and it goes up 10% every year.....to average about 20 million over the 6 years.

    But my math may be off too.

    Really. I thought that was one of our actual advantages over the other FA destination options. Houston is actually making Bosh the #1 priority while Chicago/NY/Mia etc, are targeting Lebron/Wade first.

    I've seen numbers that show without a SnT the number is $92 mln for 5 years and SnT nets you $30 mln more, which is $122 mln for 6 years, averages out to $20 mln per year.

    It's about 16 mil. He's looking at McGrady, a 12 year vet, and comparing it to max for a 6 year vet.

    Rockets communicated w/ Stoudemire, others, but Bosh is top target. Met Bosh in Dallas. Have sign/trade framework. Chi, MIA do too.#hounews

    Met in Dallas

    The max starts at around $16M for Bosh and the Rockets would only have to send between $13-$14M out.

    Chad Ford mentioned Aaron Brooks.

    When salaries are matched for trade, it's not based on average salary for each year. It's based on the current annual salary.
