Actually it was Morey who rejected Gortat when the price got too high. It ended up being the smartest move possible because Orlando matched anyway.

Yeah actually Gortat got a rediculous contract for a backup center and Morey was smart to not try and get him. He couldnt because Orlando gave him the max mid level and would have matched us at any price so that scenario is not relevant at all.

He just telling it like it is man. That's pretty much the truth.

If YAO was healthy and had a great season last year..I think honestly Lebron would think about coming here...but Yao isn't a factor as much as we hope for, because of his injury history.

IIRC, 20 minutes is all SCK need for WHITE girl #8- maybe DM got to Bosh's hotel, washed his penis in the sink, and it was on.

That's a pretty homer'ish take on the situation. Gortat got offered more money. I don't think that counts as Morey "rejecting" him.. he just went for the team who offered the most money.

Actually I think that's who Toronto will mainly be asking for "If" they do a sign and trade with us. There were even reports on draft night, that the Raptors were really high on Patterson and he was the guy they were going to draft, had it not been for Ed Davis dropping out of top 10.

Plus Ed Davis and Jordan Hill are very similar players, I think they would prefer to add some physical play to their front court. Which is something that Patterson can deliver.

Since Bosh is left handed, Morey must have told him to hold it a certain way to get a good signal.

Gortat wanted the full MLE which Morey was not willing to give him.

THE pitch is Chinese marketing money. NO other team can touch that.

It could easily double the total take from any other team over the life of the contract.

Plus Yao is egoless. You play with one of the other superstars and you become his caddy, second fiddle. You play with Yao and you are guaranteed an equal spotlight and as much of a leading role as you want to step up and take.

Bosh to Houston makes all the sense in the world.
It's really a no-brainer on every point except the Miami lifestyle.

During the meeting, Morey gave Bosh an ipad, showing, among other things, the invitations to join Rockets from Hakeem Olajuwon, Elvin Hayes, Yao Ming, Andre Johnson and George Foreman.

    Morey is a genius!

20 minutes doesn't seem very long at all. Either way, I like that the article stated Bosh had input on the S&T scenarios. That tells me that if he chose to come to Houston, then our offer won't gut the team (i.e. those rumors of Brooks being dealt). I also like Morey's stance that the teams with all the cap space can only spend to the salary cap, or exceed it by signing minimum guys, while we can go beyond the cap and into lux tax land. I say we have a 30% shot, only because Yao is a question mark. Even we don't have full faith in the guy, and we don't have to make a 6 yr decision based on him.
