Seriously. Nene signed it. Rockets signed it. It is within the CBA rules.

If the NBA wants to shut it down that’s fine. Lame, but fine. But they should shut the whole thing down. Like someone else said, this partial shut down seems punitive.

The players association had to do with the rejecting too?. Isn't Chris Paul the President? I think he might be bitter.

Silver's payback for that stunt Morey, Tad Brown, and Fertitta pulled with the 'officiating grievance' they filed after all of the obvious missed calls in Game 1 vs. Warriors. IMO, Chris Paul isn't walking away from this whackjob without blood on his hands. He's more than a person of interest. He's a suspect.

We're at the point now where litigation proceedings should commence. I'm tired of this bull****.

If there's a way, they WILL find a way to **** the Rockets.
Just the latest F U to the Rockets.

Meh - if the net difference of nene’s contract is retaining a cheaper younger player with more upside, I’ll say thanks Silver and move along.

This is such a big joke Silver had no issues with KD signing with GSW and then getting traded for an Allstar but suddenly Rox paying Nene is foul and against the rules? Seriously? Somebody needs to slap Silver upside the head and bring Stern back. At least when Stern vetoed the Gasol trade it kinda made sense and was done to prevent Lakers getting Kobe, Paul and Dwight.

You don't get it it was only a partial blockage. We still on the lock for Nene's salary in fact its worse since we can't trade him away and we just signed him to 7-8M per.

Silver wants to push the Lakers vs Clippers narrative in the west. The Rockets are just an eyesore to him.

We all know anyone in the way of a Lakers vs Clippers playoff matchup will probably see some NBA ref-rigging against them.

Just pray they are in the same bracket and we aren't in theirs or those G7 refs will be back in full force.

Ummm no he didn't say it best because likely would have re-signed Nene anyway.

It's also ridiculous they're screweing the Rockets for this in this way, while when a team gets caught tampering so, actually breaking the rules, they barely penalize it a with a ridiculous 50.000$ fine and don't even deny that team the chance to sign or trade for the that player.

Just think about all the bullshit the Lakers have done in two years between Kawhi, George and Davis...they got caught tampering two times, and all the nba did was force them to pay 50.000$...****ing pathetic.

This wasn't just silver - the Chris Paul's player's association approved this ridiculous partial ruling too.

(Iggy is VP so maybe he really didn't want to come to Houston...)

Yes, I'm not at all surprised with this ruling but I'm sure it wouldn't have applied to GS, Lakers, or even the Mavs and Boston.
